I purchased the stealth about 6 months ago, and it’s completely changed the way I commute in New York City every day. At the time of making this video, I put about 700 miles on this board so far, and I’m glad I waited until now to do this review because I have a lot to talk about. The only how you can tell if a product is worth your troubles, is to see how it holds up over time.

Great helmet plug there at the end! So true, I thought falls were for people who didnt know how to ride or werent paying attention. My worst fall was because a hair thin piece of dynema cord(strongest fiber in mass production, often used in spear fishing or rock climbing) wrapped itself around my wheels and instantly locked them up. I didn't know what happened, one second i was cruising at 22mph, the next my head hit the ground so hard it cracked the helmet. I had no head injury and was lucky that that was one of the days i felt like wearing my helement, now i never question if i want to. It always comes along on a ride.

I occasionally go to NYC for months at a time. The boosted board will indeed change your life for the better. I commuted from Harlem into Mid-town Manhattan faster than taking the subway. I could not agree more. I too hate the wait for the subway. You will waste your life waiting for it. Central Park in the morning and late-night is, for the most part, a vacant highway of bliss. Boosted customer service is top-notch. I spent the big bucks for this reason.

Thank you for the wonderful comment. I'm having motor issues again and now I'm loosing the love that I had for boosted. I can't buy those motors anywhere online. They got their motor game on lock. It's very annoying. I've opened up a ticket with boosted over a week ago and head back from no one. I called them and the automate system hangs up on me after a min or two. I can't even speak to a live person. Boosted is really loosing me when it comes to their customer service. Now I'm stuck with a busted motor that I can't even buy from boosted's site. I'll give them another week or two before I stop showing them love.

Mine did that with the motors too, they’ve been sooooo cool about it. I replaced one which allowed me to hear the other starting to make that sound. I sent one email with the video in it and I received the order confirmation before he even emailed me back. He said I shouldn’t have this issue again, which I trust.

Bruh the motors!!! The freaking motors man. I’ve order 4 of them within 6 months. May is the month when my warranty ends. So I email boosted asking them when my warranty end it will be pretty costly for me to keep replacing motors every 3 or 4 months. They say they will continue to provide new ones if they ever start doing that rattling noise again. That was pretty reassuring for me, cuz I was not about to spend $100 on new ones every time they break.

Great video mate! Very detailed. One recommendation though - I noticed your front foot is pretty straight (parallel with the board). I suggest you turn it more perpendicular as it’ll allow you to make turns and carve better. I know it feels more comfortable (I used to do it too) but you’ll feel a lot more safe when you have more control after getting used to the different position. Anyways, cheers! 😁

I'd love to get your opinion on this: I just ordered a boosted stealth a few days ago, this was before I knew that boosted was going under, I bought it from a third party not from boosted... Its supposed to arrive in a few days and frankly I'm freaking out. I desperately want to give this board a chance because of the quality and praise associated with the boosted brand. However knowing that the company will no longer be operational from this day forward is terrifying when you've made such a large investment. Seeing you, having had your stealth this long, without encountering any issues definitively gives me hope that things will work out for me as long as I take care of mine. There is a huge community out there that supports this brand and Im still very excited to be a part of it. But knowing that if something does go wrong, whether it be software or hardware.. they'll be no one to fix it. That's a huge risk, us newbies are taking. Do you think it's worth it? Do I put faith in the community and the brand or do I just return the board as soon as it gets here?

Did you get the board yet? The board is still fly even if the company is gone. If something goes wrong, the community has your back man. There are so many resources that are available to us. I say, once you treat the board right, you should get some good years out of it. The only issue you might have is that the board may or may not have the old gen motors! if they do, then you might have to start looking for some replacement motors before hand, just in case they start making that crazy ass noise. If you want to avoid that, you might want to get an Evolve Board. I personally like the GTR Bamboo.

@@MichaelHurdleStudio so funny enough, It just came in three days ago! Day 1: I waited for the delivery truck, couldn't focus on anything else because I had hyped it up so much in my head. When it got here it was awesome, build quality is astounding. What's crazy was, day 2, when I finally had it under my feet and I first tried to ride the board I felt regretful... I had no longboard or skateboard experience prior and I was having a serious amount of trouble staying balanced even at the low speeds; then all those concerns from earlier came rushing back. But then later that day I decided to take the board to the mall (has huge open parking lot), which is totally empty right now. The pavement was smooth and after about an hour I had found my groove... and wow... just wow. Theres truely something special about getting up to that top speed, adrenaline rushing, wind in your face,your favorite music in your ear, going faster than you'd ever think possible on a longboard, feeling like you own the streets. I hit the full 25 MPH on hyper mode and it felt great. On day 2 mind you! Once I had gained some confidence, it became apparent to me how perfect this product really is and the regrets I had.. disappeared completely. Day three I decided to hit the road, and I mean the actual road, since most of the streets here in the suburbs have 25mph speed limits. And it was terrifying! The roads were a lot less smooth at times, my knees would buckle, speed wobbles became more common, and there were moments I had to get off and just let cars pass me. But hey.. just like the previous day, I got back on the horse and kept going. Once again, I found my groove. I was cruising right alongside cars and it felt exhilarating and scary and the best way possible. My favorite thing about that day was probably the looks- because in my town.. no one knows what a boosted board is (we have the scooters but they dont go that fast). I got looks, people smiled, and they stared at me riding and I could tell they were in awe, especially the people driving! I'm convinced this is one of the most satisfying and worthwhile purchases I've made in a while! For the people I've told, whenever they ask me how much I spent getting it, I choose not to tell them, cause I know they wont get why it's so worthwhile for me. It makes the commute fun and that in in of itself, is priceless.. I'm still concerned that one day in the near future somethings going to fail on me and I wont know who to go to. However I did inevitably put my faith in the community that I'm now a part of and I'll continue to do so for as long as I'm riding a boosted board. As for the motors I dont really know what to consider a weird sound, the boards been preforming fine, no issues with speed or braking. Plus I believe my board is one of the later stealth models manufactured, so I assume it has the newest motors and firmware. Some of these roads do worry me though.. they can be hella bumpy and I cringe going over them because I feel like I'm damaging the board but aside from some overheating on the components when it gets hot, and a few instances when the remote didnt want to switch between the different speed modes, everything has been perfect. Thanks so much for the support by the way, it means a lot! All the boosted owners I've talked to have been so cool and helpful so I think we'll manage on our own lol.

I don't get the hype for boosted boards? Spec wise, it's slower with less range than a $400 Meepo Chinese board. Is it an apple/brand hype kind of thing?

Thank you so much. I've never ridden a skateboard before this. I just started using E-boards about 8 months ago. If you have good balance then you'll learn faster. Just lean forward when taking off and lean back when breaking. You'll have a better experience.

Thank you for the comment. I'd say in Hyper I can get 8 miles with my weight of 192 lbs. In mode 4 10 miles, in mode 3 12 miles, in mode 1 and 2, I get about 13 to 14 miles.

Hi Michael! Nice video :-) Have you ever had issues with RLOD? Do you do anything special to take care of your battery, charging wise? Just bought a new Stealth and am a bit worried the battery might break soon (this happens more often if not updated to 2.5.1, but updates are not available anymore since Boosted went bankrupt).

Thank you for the comment dude. So far I haven't had one issue with the battery. It's the same battery that came when I brought it 2 years ago. It's no joke looking for a Stealth battery these days. If you find one for a good price, get that joint. Thank god for Boosted USA for keeping the boosted community running. Let me know if you have any issues in the future.

Dude you should have got the solowheel glide 3, it is an electric unicycle that has a range of 30 miles and a top speed of 19mph and boosted is ripping people off with the prices of their boards.

Hey Matheus. I'm good. Good choice choosing the boosted board. The wheels that are on the board are pretty good for taking small potholes and cracks in the street. Yes, I've gotten thrown off the board a few times in the past, but you'll get use to it. I can go about 10 miles on mode 3, 6 miles on mode 5. It's pretty solid.

Good question. Yes they sent me three newer motors! the one they said no longer have that noise issue. I haven't put any of them on yet. I'm currently working on a 2000 Miles Boosted Stealth review and wanted to wait until after I do the review to install the new motors and such. Thank you. I 've never tried the OneWheel. I wish I knew someone who has one so that I can try out. It just looks cool, but I hear it's a less bumpy ride. I wish I had the funds to get one right now. It'll take me a year to save up to get one. :-(

That's a very good question. Boosted has a newer motor that they send to you when the old motor goes bad. People say that the new motor does not break like the older motors. That's a good thing! but! one of my motors are making that famous boosted motor noise again, I opened a new ticket to have boosted send me another motor (for free) that's a good thing, but I've been waiting for them to send me this motor for over a month now. When I call boosted, the automated service robot keeps hanging up on me, telling me that they have a really high call count and I should try again later. I'm so upset right now. This is what you guys should expect when buying this board. I'm almost up to 2000 miles or 3218.688 km on the board so far and I want to do a 2000 miles later review on the boosted stealth. I will be talking about my experience in that video. Hope that helped dude.

Who knows if Boosted is going to make another board in 2020! If they did, It better be way better than the stealth. The flex on this board is mad nice, but I hear people saying that the dual plus's deck is way more flexier.
