75014 'Braveheart' STORMS up the bank to Ipstones!!!!! GREAT day, Churnet Valley Rly. 17th Feb 2024

A great visit to the Churnet Valley Railway.
Starting at Froghall and taking a ride on the final service of the day all the way along the line to Ipstones.
The loco in charge was class 4Mt, 75014 'Braveheart', on loan to the CVR for 4 months from The Dartmouth Steam Railway.
A great sight and sound as she climbs away from Leakbrook up the 1 in 40 gradient to Ipstones, along the Cauldon Branch.

Great video as always Phil, I spy myself in the video at 1:21 at Froghall station, I was filmed the departure from Froghall, although couldn't see much of 75014 due to the amount of steam coming from the drain valves as she departed. I managed to get a shot of her on the Ipstones Branch at Apesford. Kind regards, Jake.

Nice chime whistle, reminds me of Tornado and Britannia's chime whistles. Wonderful sound. What sort of steamy whistle sound do you love most?
