Watch some other videos where he guts them. Spools look like string spools that you'd use on a sewing machine. False set is where the center section (the reduced radius part of it) has shifted and it the core moves a little bit if I'm not mistaken.
@mr_mr5 жыл бұрын
search around for lock pin types. You'll find spool, standard, serrated and others. Many of those that are not standard are considered security pins. A "false set" has to do with a position the spool pin goes into when he picks it. When the pins are all in a "set" position the lock will open. When an inexperienced picker feels (with the pick) a false set pin they will be confused as to why the lock isn't opened.

I bought one of these to secure a garden storage box (more to keep the kids out really; the box itself including the lock loops is plastic so I'm sure a determined thief would get in regardless of which lock was fitted). I'm pleasantly surprised just how well that stood up to your picking to be honest, for a lock that cost me around £10 retail. I could have bought a masterlock one for slightly less but I've seen enough of your videos to know I might as well not use a lock at all if I'm going to do that!! Incidentally, I needed a new lock because I lost the key for the previous Yale one I had on there and thanks to your videos I was able to both rake it and single-pin pick it multiple times, both to remove it without damage to the box and for fun. I actually found it harder to rake it than to pick it because the keyway was so small. Thanks for the great content, as always!

Hello, i'm an internet commenter and today i'll be discussing why having intros and outros that don't change ever and are longer than the actual content is a bad idea if you appreciate people wanting to actually use your playlist. Let's get to it...Watching multiple videos in your playlists, videos spend more time with intro and outro than actual video picking or testing. I'm not exaggerating either, try it. On top of that, it's ALWAYS EXACTLY the same, mind numbingly tedious and i'm only a hundred or so vids in to 800. After 20 or 30 it's like water torture and nothing makes me skip past large chunks of video more than attempting to not endure yet more repetition. It literally makes your playlists unwatchable if just left playing and makes me cringe every time it get's close to happening - worse still we are forced to and entire outro and then in succession, often followed by a 1 minute pick and yet more outro and then intro - double punishment. Jeez even ads would be better, there's no ones vids I jump to skip past the intro as much as yours, especially the damn outro as much as yours.Your actual content is freaking awesome but please stop punishing us with the fake enthusiasm while you force the words yet again from your mouth. It's ok to not like doing it, we get it. You can stop if you like you know? Or mix it up maybe, double dare you!? Make playlists great again! Be creative! PLEASE!In any case, that's all from me. If you have any comments or suggestions, leave them below. And the most fake bit, don't forget to have a nice day!!!! x 100000000

@Melds5 жыл бұрын
It's when the core partially turns because it's trapped on the center part of spool pins (or T pins). The core has to be turned back slightly to push the spools up. Pushing on the spool with the pick usually generates a bit of reverse rotation.

@dlevi675 жыл бұрын
It's meant for marine use, so corrosion should not be an issue. This would be a lot harder to pick than most combination locks, and I guess many destructive methods would not be easy to implement in a locker room/dressing area because of the noise. However you then need to carry a key with you.

@Lammergeier3505 жыл бұрын
It's all a matter of taste. The primary use of any insert or bar is to provide tension to the core - the fringe benefit of having support for your pick in a high keyway is just icing on the cake. Just remember, the correct way of picking a lock is the way that gets the lock open without destroying it. No matter how you're doing it, as long as you're successful you're doing it right.
