The house / cabin is done and finished. It sold in 2 days for $95,000. Most of the materials were bought from Home Depot or Lowes. Everything is off the shelf no custom expensive anything. The house features. 1. Triple Pane windows 2. Granite countertops in kitchen and bathroom 3. Upgraded insulation R38 Roof R15 Walls R30 Crawl space 4. Central heating and air 5. Half acre of your own land 6. Solid pine doors and solid board trim including tongue and groove 7. Tongue and groove vinyl floor (that I love) 8. 50 Gallon water heater for long hot showers 9. 10 by 15 Deck (pressure treated) 10. Hardie board siding (cement board) 11. last but not least affordable mortgage payment of less then $500 That is why I love what I do, no builder works for over 3 months to make $10,000. The person that bought this is, on the verge of retirement and he wanted something small and affordable to move into in his older years. If you build this for yourself your payment would be $372 a month. If you financed the full $78,000 at 4% interest rate for 30 years mortgage.

They would, but sit down with your bank and discuss it. I don't know how Colorado works but usually it needs to be done by a licensed contractor amd up to code. As long as the build is done properly and it appraises to what you want to borrow it will not be a problem.

The interior insulation and triple glazed windows are totally something I would do. I close off rooms in my 3 BR house now to save on energy costs ( which add up over years and continue to rise in price) and interior insulation would be great for that. The ceiling is beautiful. I would use rocker switches and plain switch plates, as I don't like how dark ones look against the white walls, not something I'd emphasize. The extra windows for natural light were an excellent move and the view of trees is lovely. The deck is a good size and good selling point. GREAT job. Thx for sharing.

Everybody this guy puts his all and then so much more into building his homes. He is a rare gem in this business. You definitely need to get on board with this guy. Many on here are loving what he is doing. I know I do!!! EXCITING!!!! Got my hot tea, in my comfy pj’s, getting ready to watch the big reveal of MC’S BABY!!!!! Well hello and welcome!!! >Nice curb appeal (No zombies in sight) LOL!!! >I just envisioned you laying on the roof ridge. >I like the ideal of no mulch, no bugs, like you said. But it could attract frog squatters. >”NOBODY PUTS MC IN A CORNER!!!” What is that from?? >Lots of space for essentials, desk, sofa, and the tv to watch our Migraine Craftsman!!!! >Quality stainless steel appliances, sweet!!! I clean them everyday, got to wipe in the direction of the grain or risk making a visible scratch. >High demand for granite, very smart!! >$78,000 for the build and land, affordable!!! >This is not nerdy stuff, it is very intriguing stuff. >I could definitely make some great meals in that kitchen. I love to cook!!! >Small house, BUT, can cook a whole Thanksgiving meal and have company sit comfortably. >All that wood adds a warm, cozy feeling. >The tongue and groove on the sides of the cabinets gives it a finished look. NICE!!!! >No wonder you like to show the doors, they are beautiful!!! Nice shot!!!!! >Very creative on the storage area and the closet door. >You just go ahead and, “Do what the heck you what!!!” It is your baby!!! >NOT SKIPPING ANYTHING, I have watched it over and over, and rewinding for two hours!!!! LOL!!! Didn’t want to miss any detail. >Vaulting it makes it look bigger. >Most logical place for the hot water heater. And especially the washer and dryer like you said. >Very genius ideal for using a kitchen cabinet as the vanity, have space on the side for stuff. >Big shower, I can sit and shave my legs!! Lol! >I use the word wonky too!!!!! >SAMSUNG, NICE!!! >A nice, big deck!!! A few steaks on the grill, margarita in my hand, relaxing back in some lounge chairs, some great music playing with a blanket of stars overhead, perfect!!!!! >Lots of land to build something else if I want. >That’s the little house!!!! Magnifico!!!! >Easy to clean, is a huge plus!!! >Next episode, even cheaper, sweet!!!! From the cabinets, the boards on the sides of them, the ceiling, the floors, the doors, the trim, the electrical plates, the ceiling fans, to the hardware all matching, It all makes the house have a smooth flow to it. It is all cohesive. Easy on the eyes!!!! Not wonky!!!! You have thought about every little detail and it shows. You definitely do quality work. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. This is just a truly remarkable house. Simple,, easy to clean, cohesive flow, quality work, perfect materials, AND AN AFFORDABLE MORTGAGE!!!!! Apologizing for such a long comment. It seems like I always have too much to say!!!!!

Thx Peaches for the kind words. I put in a lot of thought into my designs, they might be small but they are very livable. I try to think what people need and cover the basics and add some quality over the bare minimums some people do. As you know I can also write a mile long comment but my head been hurting for 2 days so far. Thx for stopping by I really appreciate it and thank you again for the kind words.

Migraine Craftsman Awwwww Peaches!!!!! I love peaches!!! Georgia Peach!!! You are very welcome. Small is great. When people want to build big, live above their means and they struggle is when trouble could creep in easily, their get behind on payments, and BOOM!!!!! FORECLOSURE!!!! It is tough enough in our crazy world as it is, then the burden of a huge mortgage, can make a person physically sick with stress. Your well thought out formula can help some people remove that burden. We only need certain things to be comfortable, but so many think they need more. Did SIMS help inspire your love of building? LOL!! I am so sorry for writing long ass comments, my brain is constantly thinking in overdrive and the words just keep spilling out. So, so sorry your head has been hurting for 2 days. I just don’t know how you function with migraines.

Pretty little house, but storage is not good even with that niche above the bedroom door. Is there any storage in the crawl space? What size lot?

Lot is half acre, take a look here how the crawl space looks kzbin.info/www/bejne/n57Ho32vjNNlh68

What about putting another storage area above the washer and dryer water heater area?
@MigraineCraftsman5 жыл бұрын
You sure can, you can even sneak in some kitchen cabinets above.
