Sheet metal work is oh so time consuming. Add crash damage, and it's a challenge! You're doing a good job, shaping up really nice! Kinda like a puzzle! Note: I have YET to find a cab corner that actually fits right... so there's that. Also, I haven't yet done a 400 to 460 manual trans swap, but have been researching the process done by others. Since yours is an external balance, can't you just use the later model flywheel and get a spacer for the bell housing to block to get proper starter alignment? Or is there no spacer available?

From my research the regular 460 flywheel and clutch will hit the inside of the 400 bellhousing.

@@cprgarage3206 With a bell spacer it won't. The later model trans has a deeper bell. Or use an FE flywheel with an 11.5 clutch and 302 pilot bearing, seems to be the consensus as an option.

You can grind the inside of the bell housing. I did it on mine
