Could you test with 7200+mhz ram on the 14700k? A lot of performance left on the table for intel. 6000 is basically as high as 7800x3d will get, but intel will go higher and also scale better from it. Even further if you tune it.
@aljerbench Жыл бұрын
I don’t have 7200+ mhz ram unfortunately , i mostly test the setups with equal mhz ram and stock etc because i try to keep the tests as fair as possible.
@mxmx225 Жыл бұрын
That's ok. I understand, but the 7800x3d doesn't benefit or run further than 6000mhz, so pretty much capped out, while intel isn't. Would be more fair if both were, IMHO. Intel has more performance left on the table, while the x3d does not, or barely. Difficult to find people running Valorant benchmarks with the 14700k, though. Maybe overclocking your ram is an option? Depending on what ram sticks and motherboard you have. @@aljerbench

You clearly are enjoying the experience more on the 7800x3d, look at how you have your knife out, B hopping, moving cross hair up down, left right. I see you aren't as energetic on the Intel. I'm not trying to make assumptions, but I personally only do that when the game feels VERY good, smooth, responsive, low latency. You hit good shots on both cpus, but just from the looks the 7800x3d is just so good
@aljerbench9 ай бұрын
You are right! The benchmarks were recorded in the same hour and the 7800X3D always feels a little bit smoother to me. Can’t be too conclusive about that tho. But i will do more tests and try to see the difference in smoothness. Frametimes are lower with the 7800X3D too, so it may be that :)

ive never seen intel get beat in the 1% lows. And I was worried about the 7800x3d being bad for the 1% lows. Why does this test seem off like the 7800x3d should not be winning by that much.
@Yuni.05 Жыл бұрын
Valorant is more CPU based, and there's probably something about this game which let's the 7800x3d make use of its 3dvache. As someone who owns a 7800x3d, the scores from it in this deathmatch are accurate but I agree with the fact that the 14700k here shouldn't have that bad 1% lows. Maybe it's to do with the fact that it's using 6000mhz memory (intel benefits more with ram speed compared to ram timings) so maybe with 7200mhz or faster then the intel cpu would have better 1% lows. Also, if x3d cpus have a game where they benefit with 3dvache they most likely will beat out intel cpus even in 1% lows.

İf you are only gamer cus games dont care about cores. İf will intel improve the apo (intel application optimization) it will better results for every game.But only 14th gen has apo.But i think apo will be so good.Just wait for apo or get 7800x3d if you are only valorant gamer or else but my recommendation is buy 14700k and look the apo improvement like the dlss.
@magiczny22068 ай бұрын
You can clearly see that from the AMD side the 1% low FPS and 0.1% low FPS (but really 0.1% low is not necessary) and that is what defines the smoothness and as you can see it is just better than Intel (in that case) but really these are just both great processors

But intel still has a lot better system latency and stability for it being monolhitic, lows will be much better when well configured with 8200 cl36 a-die chips, amd is chiplet trash, throw it away with the fire extinguisher, look at the overall frametime even that its an unconfigured os and maybe an non good silicon piece, you should buy a couple more cpus to test my hypothesis (that is clearly true) that intel performs much better than AMD in a proper developed ambient and has much more chances of going into a higher performace than AMD side, has you have way more options to mess up in your bios and lose 3 months of your like overclocking your cpu to the most stable point, btw, did you delied your 14700k and put a copper ihs? this would provide a much bigger performace increase in overall performace and latency of the system, making it get a better frames coming up with AMD🤓☝ DONT BUY AMD
@aljerbench Жыл бұрын
I mostly test for the people that buy stuff and want it as good as possible out of the box, at this point the ryzen processors have felt better while gaming competitively etc on a 500hz monitor, and provided me with better stability and performance! I understand as an enthousiast your opinion may differ, but with the same configuration of ramspeeds etc the Ryzen 7800x3D is the king of gaming at the moment. The 5800x3D and 7800x3D are both monolithic processors, all cores are on the same die. If you talk about the 7950x3d etc, they do not have every core on the same die, so you might be right about that one.
