780hp Subaru Impreza’s FOS Winning Run!

Olly Clark has extended his winning run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in his "Gobstopper II" - a Subaru Impreza Time Attack car. Following on from his 2015 win, Clark completed the hillclimb in 46.297secs, crossing the line at 140mph, and edging out Kenny Brack’s McLaren P1 LM! #FOS

Would Goodwood Rood & Racing consider inviting cars from the World Time Attack Challenge to FoS? Cars that compete at #WTAC are absolutely insane; crazier engine builds, the use of nitrous oxide and most especially the craziest aerodynamic designs. As a comparison at Sydney Motorsport Park, the winning time at WTAC 2015 was over 4 seconds faster than a GT3 car, with the winning time being done on a road legal tyre whilst the GT3 time was done on slick tyres.

the p1 has 1000 hp almost plus hybrid power ..no car on the planet close to the same hp and road legal or race setup can out accelerate hybrid so 0 to 60 times are no contest but the p1 has technology on its side road car or not ..if not for the electic power the p1 wouldnt be has fast as it is...awesome car though
