💕 Magic with Mixed Media 💕 Fluid Art with Acrylic Inks and Rubbing Alcohol
In today's video, I am doing a gorgeous mixed media painting! I have done a few of these but it has been a while. I am using acrylic inks (not alcohol inks) and rubbing alcohol to create this, along with some gold pigment. I love the way the acrylic inks look with the rubbing alcohol, and it is a fun twist on a normal alcohol ink painting. The gold pigment looks amazing with this purple and cutting the heart shape turned out beautifully!

No need to thank me, I should be thanking you…so THANK YOU for taking the time to share your process and details. I am actually going to try using a gold pigment somewhat of a paste that creates cells and lacing when mixed with resin just to see if it will work using alcohol and create cells and lacing. Can I ask why you chose to use acrylic inks instead of alcohol inks with this piece? It's really pretty! I'd have painted the sides with the gold though 😉🤣💜

I tried using some alcohol inks and I wasn't getting the results that I wanted so I decided to experiment and use the acrylic inks. I like the way they work and it is fun to try something new!

@@amandasdesignsofficial definitely, I agree it's a lot of fun to experiment - my results aren't usually this gorgeous though! 😂 One definite plus to using acrylic inks are that you don't have to deal with the fumes of alcohol inks, those things smell nasty!

You're very good....what about applying same materials on a canvas ? Is it compatible with?

It will soak into the canvas quickly and I can't move it around too much.

Thank you for the nice video. 1) How do you seal the first layer in order to place a second one ? I tried it and the second layer of acrylic inks with alcohol ruined the fist. 2) what kind of material is the white heart?

I think you could use a spray varnish to seal the first layer. With this style I tend to only do one layer since the rubbing alcohol will reactivate the first layer. The white heart is a wood piece!

The synthetic paper is more like plastic and water based glue doesn't work with it so I just used the tape.
