Oh wow! This is one of the pretty rare Aeolian units, isn’t it? Only produced for a couple of years in the 1950s or 1960s and still using leftover wood parts, correct?

Yes! It was offered in 1950 and that may have been the only year. It was a completely different design with different parts. The striker pneumatics are wood and it's all powered by pnumatics and vacuum so this has the ability to be rebuilt like a conventional stack on a player. It's possibly the used some left over parts from the Ampico/Duo Art time period but I suspect we'll never know!
