@donovanfranklin35033 жыл бұрын
absolutely not, then QB’s like Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes get one of their key play making abilities stripped, how many times have we seen QB’s escape a tackle and make a play for a First down or TD. The league is just soft lol
@mcr-12663 жыл бұрын
@@donovanfranklin3503 If they loosed up on the really extreme rushing calls, QBs such as Lamar Jackson would not be able to run as far by themselves. Defenses are scared of tackling most of the time due to the threat of any hard hit being immediately a personal foul.

@kaihale2272 жыл бұрын
I’ll make one small adjustment to that. Once a defender is within 2-3 yards of the QB when the QB is out of the pocket, the QB is now a runner and can be hit when the defender is already in motion, if the late hit is clear and obvious then you make the call. However if the tackler is bang bang, then it should be scored as a play on the runner (QB)

That last Claw Matthews call was correct, but not because of what the announcer said. The initial shoulder contact is fully legal, what isn’t is how he continued to drive the quarterback into the ground and dropped his body weight on him without pulling off. That’s textbook roughing, nothing wrong with that. The other penalties on him are wrong though.
@AaYy0o7 ай бұрын
I also thought that it was more because he landed on him with his full weight. The announcers cause the confusion when they talk like what they think is the reason is definitely the reason when, in actuality, they can't hear what the officials are discussing and are only guessing.

It's the only sport that the officials so brazenly fix it because they've gotten away with it for so long and the league allows it. 90% of the rulebook is "refs discretion" or vague terminology Those rules enable fixing games
