Gussy Gatlin That was my goal in making this series. I want people to know what amazing man he was and the legacy he left us. He soul was rooted in his faith and you heard it in his music. He said it best, "I sing the way I do because God gave it to me." I hope you enjoy the entire series and share it with other so the world will know. Thank you!

A God-given voice, heart, and soul! God’s love flowed through him to everyone he touched, personally and in song. The picture of the “thumbnail” of the video ‘Elvis Presley-Who Said What?’ Is the picture that I drew of him and he signed in 1973 in Charlotte, NC. He loved it and wanted to know if I was going to give it to him, but I had no idea that he would like it that much, so I did not have a copy. When I go to heaven, my daughter wants it, but I have told her that afterwards I want her to will it to Graceland where it belongs. We will then be giving it to Elvis and his fans.

Elvis,s soul was annointed by God, every fibre of his being was steeped in Christianity and spirituslism, Gospel /spiritual music moved, touched and uplifted him, he felt alive when surrounded by it and wanted others to share in his enlightenmen . Elvis had a deep sensitive and compassionate soul, his upbringing taught him to think,of others as he woukd want to have been thought of by them. He put his faith in his Lord, sometimes faltered but never strayed from his unwaivering belief in God and his holy bible. Elvis had said that after 77 touring, his next would be to do a gospel only tour, i cannot begin To imagine how happy that would have would have made him. God only loaned Elvis to us , he had other plans for him after 16/8/77.

I loved the story about the girl in the sweets being sick. And him praying . He was so sweet about anyone feeling bad. He just wanted everyone to be their best all the tine and he was going to do whatever it took fron him no matter what it was to make it happen. God blessed us with him for a short time.

My dearest Ms. Hicks, I want you to know that I hold all of your tributes to our Elvis in the highest regard. I have always known and appreciated him but when a dark time took hold of my life, he just kind of popped up on the internet. So unlike me, I acquired an unquenchable thirst for this man, adsorbing all that I could. Clinging to the positive and dismissing the negative, I accept only the information that matches how I feel when experiencing him…closer to God.

My chaplain said he met you and that you believed Elvis was in heaven. I agree with you, Elvis had a big heart and loved to give. He knew earthly treasure's didn't last but the word of God is forever. It's good to hear the people who really loved Elvis and hear about how he loved Jesus, the true King.

The reason I believe Elvis is in heaven is because he knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. All the rest follows. Who is your Chaplain and where does he say we met?

I only know my chaplain's first name. I'm on hospice and he come's to visit and pray with me. He said he met you at a church where you were singing. He will be here to see me next week and I'll get more information for you. I just have his first name Troy. He work's for compassus hospice and the Tulsa city police department. I believe Elvis is in heaven for the same reason you do. I'm sorry I can't answer your question right now. I really feel bad about how some of Elvis's friend's felt it was necessary to write about the problem's Elvis had, he had heath problem's and I can certainly understand that. God bless you.

@JudyHickscount
@JudyHickscount 6 жыл бұрын
It does seem sad; however, he was not alone. God was there with him. God always knows best and I believe Elvis would not have wanted anyone to see him before he died, particularly the way in which he died. He was always a giver and never wanted people to do for him. He built the meditation garden to have a serene place to "talk with God." He went up into the mountains of California to be alone with God. I kind of think it would have been his choice at the end--him and God. Are you really from Greece? I would love to go there someday.

yes, god was there for sure, just as he is for every single one of us, but, nevertheless, i believe when that big moment comes, no one wants to be alone. yes, i am writing from greece. i hope you are given the chance to visit my country someday, since it is something you want so much. i, on the other hand, would love to visit graceland and pay my respects to that beautiful, gifted in every way human being that once existed.

I can't help but wonder what might have been if Elvis had returned from the army and began singing only gospel music. You can feel his heart and soul in the gospel songs he sang.
@JudyHickscount
@JudyHickscount 7 жыл бұрын
God only knows, but since I agree with Elvis and many others that his talent was God-given, I kind of think it took the prescribed course. I personally believe that God used the other music venues in order to elevate Elvis to the position he attained in order to allow him to spread Gospel music and, in turn, the Gospel worldwide for years to come. It also allowed the world to witness the life of an exceptional soul who was elevated from poverty to unheard of wealth and worldwide fame and not be changed by it. Elvis believed that God was calling him into ministry. It was just not the kind Elvis thought. Had his health been better and other variables met, life may have been better for him, but we can be thankful for what he left us--his soul in music and a life that made a difference in the world. People should focus more on his exceptional qualities, rather than his less than stellar ones. That is the purpose for making these videos.

Judy Hicks I'm sorry if you thought I meant anything negative. Because I truly didn't. I'm a Christian, I have devout faith in God. And as a christian, I think it's wrong for anyone to judge someone else when they've never walked in their shoes. Unfortunately, Elvis Presley was before my time; however I dare say he's known as much today as he was all those years ago. Elvis carried a heavy heart that was forever scarred by the death of his mother and his stillborn twin brother; coupled with his divorce from Priscilla. I completely agree Elvis had God given talent and he had a spiritual soul. As Elvis himself said, image is one thing and simply being a normal human being is another. I can only say I wished he'd lived so that my generation could have had the privilege of experiencing his music live. Again, I meant no disrespect or negativity
@JudyHickscount
@JudyHickscount 7 жыл бұрын
Oh, sweet girl, I did not take your comment as a negative. It is a legitimate thought. Elvis loved his fans and sang his heart out for us. I wish you could have seen him perform live. Words cannot describe it. I saw him three times, drew a picture of him and he autographed it. With all the technology it is a shame the videos they took in concert were as poor as they were. Probably Col. Parker cutting corners.

Yes, if you watch Part 3 at time stamp 4:00-4:30 Elvis tells fans in concert that Jesus Christ is the King. He did not mind being referred to as the King of Rock and Roll, but not as "King." That title he abdicated to Jesus Christ. One of his famous quotes listed in Part 1 is, "Jesus Christ is the only King. I'm just a singer." Truly wise, humble man.

The preacher who made the statement about Elvis being a bundle of energy set to music and that echo would never die was the pastor of East Trigg Baptist Church in Memphis. He was a teenager then.
