Thank you so much for sharing. I took note.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 1. Dinner around 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Including cleaning up after dinner. She does not want her kids to grow up thinking that someone will come clean for them. So they clean together 2. 5:30pm to 6:30pm they do something as a family. During summer. They go to a local park after dinner and spring. In the winter time, they stay home and do board games and handy craft. She is playing with the 3 kids and husband playing with the other little kids and bonding with them 3. At 6:30pm. She has an alarm that goes off. Night time preparing start. Kids have snack. Her little ones have bottles. She goes to the laundry room and get clean clothes that needs to be hanged in the closet. Her older child put her clothes away. After that older child go for shower and little ones go for bubbles bath. She adds magnesium bubbles bath soap in the water.Big kids go to their rooms after shower. For little kids, she brushes their teeth and massage her kids. Which helps with bonding. 4. By 7:30pm, kids are in their rooms. They recite psalms 23 together as a family. She connects with each individually and say a prayer with them and dim the light. Kids stay in their beds, in the bedroom, door's closed. They are not allow to play or jump. They are allow to talk to each other. That set, their night time routine. It has predictability to it, it has a sense of safety for them. It is a ritual. They do the same thing every single day and that is why it has become easy to put the kids to beds. As they go to this routine, the kids know that they are getting closer closer to bedtime.

Even now in my 30s, I remember my mom rubbing me and my sister down after bath time. I love that as a reminder to slow down the bath time routine and use that as extra bonding time. Honestly, I get a little snappy at bedtime cause I'm ready to get some me time, but I just have to get started earlier. Thank you for the tips!

Testament that skin to skin bonding is not just for mommies and infants. And don't worry, you're not the only Mommy that gets frustrated at bedtime. But that's why we have one another for support.

LOVE this video. Our babies go to bed at 7:30 too but we don't have an awesome routine like this! Definitely gave me stuff to think about. I just wanted to mention something unrelated - about LAVENDER. I only learned about this in the past year and when I saw you talking about your babies playing in the lavender-magnesium bath I felt I should say something b/c it's not common knowledge. Lavender (also tea tree oil) has been linked to endocrine disruption and is estrogen-mimicking. Essential oils have been used since time immemorial but I think many people use more than our ancient ancestors would have ever had access to. I'm not suggesting that you use it in excess, but I personally did not know anything about it and just felt like I should pass it on. To Jady or anyone else reading this, please don't take my word for it. ❤️

thanks for sharing! all these products can be bought fragrance free for those concerned . We always change our bubble baths and balms and do not use the same ones long term. We use, chamomile, cedarwood and many others we rotate in. I always make sure they are safe for children. Thanks for sharing about lavender I am sure google has something to say about all essential oils so one has to make their own decisions on which ones to pick for their family!

There is something very calming about listening to you. I feel like I can accomplish anything! Your kids must love that. We have a routine that slightly varies a few nights a week but where I find myself struggling is starting early enough. You eat dinner very early. My husband is working and I really want to wait for him. So we may eat dinner at 5:30 one night or 6 or even 6:30 other nights depending on his meetings. I wish we could start earlier because I know my kids would benefit from an earlier bedtime. Right now we strive for 8pm but it is lots of stress and rushing after dinner to make this happen.

I'm in the same situation. We have dinner at 630pm, my husband plays with the kids, then shower time, prayers and bedtime. Most nights we make it to bed at 8pm. You can do it. 730pm might not be feasible, but 8pm is okay in my opinion.

That's perfect! She is getting 11 hours of sleep! We too have a later bedtime because we do not have to be up early. My husband runs his own business and many nights is not home until 7pm. Dinner as a family takes priority over early bedtime. Prior to 2020 I was on call over nights and would not get home from the hospital until 6:30am. My daughter sleeps until 9:30 so I could get some sleep before started our day. Each family does what is best for them.

Our issue isn't getting our four year old to bed on time but getting her to stay asleep. Our 13-year-old 10-year-old and 6-year-old go to bed without incident but the 4-year-old will be asleep no later than 8:00 p.m. and wide awake at 1:30 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. We stopped letting her take midday naps and gave her melatonin and it hasn't helped. Right now she's our little night owl 🌜🦉

Love this! We do 7pm bedtime and since doing this particular bedtime it’s been a godsend for my sanity. ( we used to do 8pm but it was too late for them it felt like) We play until 5:30 outside then eat dinner and get ready for bed. Bath time teeth brushed and then we read all the favorite read alouds and there’s always one already asleep by the time 7pm hits and the other follows shortly after.

Great video! I've always been a stickler for routines since my kids were infants. I really think its what keeps them sleeping through the night and not climbing in our bed like other kids do. Lately its been harder as my husband isn't home until 8. So we don't have family meals anymore and sometimes he isn't home to tuck them in either. I know its just a time in our lives for now though

She's right about routines being imperative. A few things making this timeframe unattainable for some families: 1. Work schedules 2. After school/recreational sports 3. Varying parenting styles 4. Pure disobedience 😂 But it's beautiful when all goes to plan

I'm having hard time now with my 4 year old son since I started working. His dad is the one attending him now, and he's becoming really wild, I think this is because my kid is now soaked in screen unlike before. My husband would opt to let him watch so he could do his thing in the computer. My kid easily cries this time and would terribly hold up his food in his mouth, he'd even finishes his meal in about almost 2 hours. Later my son would start his online classes I hope I could keep up on my ideals on making things right and easy. Huhu. I want a routine and yet its so impossible to achieve since I started working. I love all your video Jady. You have help me in attending my son's early stages. You're awesome! God bless you and your wonderful family and to all the moms here in this channel God bless you all!

In our house it varies between the seasons - winter it's 7-8, but summer it's 9-10 due to long days. When you live in the countryside and have more chores (like animals for instance) it's just impossible to wrap up the day at 5-6, especially if some extra classes (music, sport) finish around 6-7.

The massages is something my kids love & enjoy. They also like gentle back scratches and it makes them feel relaxed & they fall asleep so much faster than before we had that routine. It's crazy how little changes help! Also, since I'm a mom of 2 sometimes my kids would get upset if I massaged one first and not the other so I decided to alternate every night so they already know if one got a massage one night then it'll be the other ones turn the next time!

The amount you fit in astounds me.... How do you walk to a park AND back AND play at the park in the 5:30-6:30 time frame, and how are you able to get everyone showered, bathed, rooms tidied and in bed from 6:30-7:30? I feel like everything takes me too long. Maybe because I do it myself (husband is working during that time)?

My evening routine is similar. This is for if a husband works second shift. 1. Outdoor play after quiet time. 6p.m alarm goes off just in case I didn't 2. Light supper...our main meal is at dinner when dad is home. I love her idea of them helping clean up. Our older children alternate cleaning during dinner with their dad each day while I do content read aloud for Littles before quiettime. I should have the Littles help with evening suppertime. 3. Bathes and house quick pickup 7p.m sharp an alarm goes off 4. Story hour...we do songs, Bible stories, and classic literature during this time. It is everyone's favorite part of the day. My older children are either working outside the home or taking bathes during this time. This period I for under 12...but it is common our bigs will hold a toddler for fun...as what is cuter than a singing toddler or clapping baby🥰. 8 to 8:30 is bedtime. I try to keep storyline to 1 hour, but if quiettime lasted a bit later that day than I may continue an extra couple stories. When I am expecting and exhausted this has been known to be 45 minutes...mama's need extra rest sometimes to. 5. Bedtime for children. I can do a good sweep of the house and a final put kitchen to bed and listen to KZbin or a podcast while I quickly straighten the last touches. The last thing didn't happen as much when my last baby was little due to she wanted cuddled...and I embraced that season and enjoyed the cuddles😁.

Another help.. Do you take standardized tests for your kiddos and submit to the school district. If yes can you please share your journey on that which one did you take and where. Do you ever think of sending them to the brick and mortar school ?

Love this video, many thanks - second time watching and I've taken notes in my journal lol! I'm still trying to implement it but seeing the difference. My main struggle is getting dinner ready on time for 4:30, how do you achieve this? Or if anyone else has cooking time tips, especially if you homeschool - do you cook in the mornings or leave it until the hour before dinner is due? Thanks in advance x x

Make a weekly menu in advance, in general I try to make sure breakfast is done or super easy and quick the night before. Lunch is usually leftovers or prepared after breakfast (usually with kids help) and dinner is prepped if not started after dinner as well (sometimes the night before too). Slow cookers are a lifesaver. Then dinner is put together between 3:30-4:30 and ready by 5 or 5:30 but my youngest kids often have a snack during that prep time.

@@MeraBaid Thanks so much for your reply. Weekly menus have definitely made a big difference in my household, from what you've said I'm going to start looking at more things I can prep in advance to make the cooking time quicker 👍🏽

First tip is to have a scheduled meal plan for the week. Try cook foods enough to last atleast 2days so U feel Ur not cooking every day. and start cooking it around 1or 2pm or could be early in the morning whatever suits you. And dinner will be done at the right time. :)

@@keleyahlivebytheword8864 Thank you for taking the time to reply! I've realised that cooking early is definitely a must, going to try and get it done even earlier. The time Jady starts eating is when I start cooking lool, on a good day! Need shift my life back a couple hours or so 🤦🏽‍♀️. Thanks again!

God Bless you ❤️
