This is one of the best and most down-to-earth documentaries that any musician has ever made. Pat DiNizio was immensely talented and he used that talent to make somewhat conventional things like minor league baseball and straight-ahead rock 'n roll inspiring and compelling. Rest in peace #22.

Pat was a big time for real baseball fan. I met him once and all he could talk about was his memory of swinging a bat at Fenway Park during that batting practice and hitting a ball into the outfield.

Ran into Pat once on the field at a Paul McCartney concert at Yankee Stadium. Super nice guy. I've always loved The Smithereens from the say I worked one of their shows at my college back in '86. We miss you, Pat!
