Government always compares Public sector with Private sector only on certain silly/ unwarranted aspects. Private sector concerns @ vision, mission, strategy, planning in investment, profits, increase in market share, increase in market segmentation, increase in market VOLUME, ways and means to achieve these objectives and thereby targets through technological development, innovative ideas, creative thinking, commitment towards employee needs, improving skills, efficiency, effectiveness on the basis of productivity/ individual performance of employee. These words are simple but it has lot of impact and measured on large scale. All these aspects to be frank most of them are not being viewed or considered by all governments right from independence to much expected present government which is also following previous governments foot steps, worst thing at present is this govt. not willing to hear or consider employees as employees instead want to favour a few bunch of private holders in the form of giving in package in the form of outsourcing and PPP. Government is bothered about expenditure and not development. Public elected present Government just because they wanted the CHANGE IN THOUGHT PROCESS OF GOVT, AGENDA OF RULING POLITICAL PARTY, VISION OF OUR PM AND BELIEVED IN PROMISES OF OUR PM IN ELECTION RALLIES. HOWEVER, CONCERNED OFFICIALS OR INDIVIDUALS MIGHT BE IN THE PROCESS OF MISLEADING OUR PM WHO HAS VISION AND MISSION BUT WHICH IS BECOMING DORMANT DAY BY DAY AND COMING IN THE CLUTCHES OF FEW PRESSURE GROUPS. Pressure is being mounted from various sources and making the thought process that may lead to lethargic/brain dead stage. There are so many aspects which Govt can introduce to gain HUGE/MAMMOTH PROFITS IN INDIAN RAILWAYS. Govt if allows employees to invest in Railways at the minimum interest rate of 10% -12 % results in nearly Rs. 2000 min (Group D) to 20,000 max (Top Officers) may come forward to invest. Approximately Rs. 5000/- * (atleast 20,00,000 lakh (50% of available staff) amounts to Rs. 10000000000 (one thousand crores per MONTH) [even pensioners may also invest out of love/affection/longing/interest of railways and not for profits] - this amount can be utilized for the development of INDIAN RAILWAYS IN THE FORM OF TECHNOLOGY, EXPERTISE, EFFICIENT SERVICES - THIS DEFINITELY MAKES/INDUCES EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATION TO THE MAXIMUM AND THEIR INVOLVEMENT/COMMITMENT/EFFICIENCY/QUALITY OF SERVICE/ QUALITY OF WORK GROWS EXCELLENTLY. Modification/modernization of Railway Stations from transportation of passengers and goods into INFO/ENTERTAINMENT HUBS @ CINE MAX(THEATRES), HUGE MALLS, RESTAURANTS -FOOD, LODGING, BOARDING -HOURLY RATES, INTRODUCING CABS FOR NEARBY TOURIST PLACES ETC -LONG DISTANCE PASSENGERS HALTING FOR 2-5 HOURS IN STATIONS LINK TRAINS MAY UTILIZE THESE SERVICES, RAILWAYS CAN EVEN ENTER INTO REAL ESTATE SINCE ENGINEERING GRADUATES WITH ALL STREAMS - CIVIL, MECHANICAL ETC ARE SERVING RAILWAYS AND ARE BEING RECRUITED. Now SURRENDER OF POSTS (1% reduction of manpower every YEAR is being followed) and ban of creation of posts in INDIAN RAILWAYS . GOVT HAS TO INTRODUCE POLICY OF BANNING SURRENDER OF POSTS. CREATIVE/ INNOVATIVE IDEAS SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED (there are so many experts/intellectuals in Indian Railways who can give excellent ideas -govt instead of passing orders which include restrictions if pass the above mentioned orders A DAY WILL COME WHEN IN NEXT PAY COMMISSION THE GOVERNMENT AUTOMATICALLY INCREASES THE SALARIES DIRECTLY TO 70 TO 80% WITHOUT EVEN NOMINATING COMMITTEES. TRAINING FACILITIES IN THE FORM OF PRACTICAL TRAINING - Eg: INTRODUCTION OF AUDIO/VIDEO VISUALS (IN TELE VISION) AT WORKSPOTS BY DISPLAYING CONTINUOUSLY ABOUT THE PRACTICAL WORKS CONDUCTED BY EXPERTS(POH ACTIVITIES/ REPAIRS/TECHNICAL ASPECTS).
