Directed by Venerable Zasep Rinpoche
Seventh Tara of the 21 Taras
According to Surya Gupta Lineage
Vadi Pramardani Tara
Golwa Jompi Drolma
PRAISE to Tara Who Crushes Adversaries
Homage to You who with the TRAY and PEY sounds,
Crush every magical wheel, evil forces,
Right leg extended and left bent, you trample,
You burn them completely in Your whirling fire.
NOTE: Crushing Enemies and Adversaries does not usually mean destroying sentient beings. Typically, the adversaries are your own negativities, obscurations and obstacles, your own internal demons. Tara will also help you with external adversaries, destroying the obstructing force, but as an Enlightened Buddha this does not include any violence to sentient beings -- the force is directed at neutralizing the causes.
PRACTICE NOTE: Venerable Zasep Rinpoche advises that you may chant the mantra of without empowerment - although it is always more effective if you do have "lung" transmission or empowerment. If you do not have empowerment, you visualize Tara in front of you (not yourself as Tara) and chant the mantra.
MANTRA:
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SARVA BEYA AVA RA NAM YE SOHA
