Many years ago in winter I was driving along busy road, very tired and repeating Tara mantra . Suddenly I did fall asleep behind wheel and did wake up in snow just outside opposite side of road. Fact that I did not cause front crash with incoming cars and die is miracle of Tara whom mantra I was repeating before accident . I can not find another explanation for not dying in front crash.

It's soha aur svaha??? Bcz in google it shows soha
@BuddhaWeekly18 күн бұрын
Depends on your language. The original Sanskrit (Mahayana mantras were transmitted in Sanskrit) is Svaha. The word Soha is Tibetan and means the same thing, but a different language. Many words in mantras in Tibetan are similar or the same, but many are also different. For instance, Vajra in Sanskrit mantras becomes Benza in Tibetan. If you received the mantra from a Tibetan teacher it's best to pronounce as your teacher indicated (traditional custom). However, if you have no teacher transmission, normally you chant in the Sanskrit of the original Sutra, because this is how it was transmitted from Buddha or Tara or whoever is teaching in the Sutra. In this case, that would be Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha. Hope that helps.

Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha 🙏 Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha 🙏 Om Tara Tuttare Ture Svaha 🙏 Oh Tara 🙏 how do l forgive those who has intentionally or unintentionally harmed me ? The repetitive thoughts of their wrong doings is an obstruction to purify the Mind. Even wishing for justices upon them or justice catching up to them is an impediment to purifying the Mind. Such attachment to anger, feelings of injustices, griefs .... impede continuous desires for the Bodhichitta. Oh Tara 🙏 help me HOW to continue to arises the Bodhichitta and be non-retrogressive ? 🙏
Please make video on Krishnayamari God in Buddhism.

Love it, Great video as always! But wasn't it Drdha who created a flood to disban the maras?
@BuddhaWeekly4 ай бұрын
Thanks as always.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Yes, they're two separate stories from separate lineages and tantras, but one is at the time of his meditation, and, the other is, at the end, when Prithvi Vasudhara (an aspect of Yellow Tara manifesting as Mother Earth) washed away the debris and Maras. The attack was relentless. These stories are ways Shakyamuni showed us that Tara embodies all of those energies -- the eight laughters as we deal with our fears and the poisons and dangers (wind) -- and Mother Earth and cleansing waters (purifying.) Tara's various forms embody all of the energies, remedies and elements. Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha 🙏🙏🙏💚💚💚🙏🙏🙏💛💛💛🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for your kind comment. A couple of great books are referenced in the video, and here are some more. From the video: Tara The Feminine Divine, by Bokar Rinpoche (with the story of the Caravan): Tara The Feminine Divine, Bokar Rinpoche amzn.to/4dEaq1A Skillful Grace: Tara Practice for Our Times by Adeu Rinpoche: amzn.to/4fLc6Il How to Free Your Mind: The Practice of Tara the Liberator by Ven. Thubten Chodron (mentioned in video): amzn.to/4cuwmeG In Praise of Tara, Marin Wilson (has several translations of original texts, but may be out of print (1986) amzn.to/4dxAZpt Tara in the Palm of Your hand (General Tara, plus 21 Taras practices according to Surya Gupta): amzn.to/3SUB7at Tara by Rachel Wooten, PhD -- a modern perspective, and a very good book amzn.to/46MZLiZ Green Tara by Gelek Rimpoche (This may be kindle only, it's direct transcripts of teachings): amzn.to/46PFjOq Hope these help. I've personally read and reread all of these, they're all great books. There are many more on advanced topics, but this is a good place to start a Tara library. In kindness, BW 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

HELLO BUDDHA WEEKLY, I have a question, are these two mantras the same? MOTHER GREEN TARA MANTRA OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SVAHA AND Om namo bhagavatyai āryaśrī ekaviṃśati tārāyai namas tāre ture vīre tuttāre bhayanāśini ture sarvārthade tāre svāhākāre namo’stute
@BuddhaWeekly3 ай бұрын
🙏🙏🙏Dear @mercypeacehappy Thank you for your questions. They're meant to be both used in practice. The first is the heart mantra, and the second is the praise Dharani Mantra. Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha is Tara's main heart mantra and is the root of all Tara mantras (all 21 Taras, for example, have Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha in them with additional supplications. The Namas Tare Ture Vire is a short Dharani given to Lord Atisha by Tara herself and is actually sometimes called the "Praise of the Ten Syllable Mantra" because when you translate it, it praises the mantra's supreme qualities. SO, for example, the meaning of the mantra as outlined by the first Dalai Lama is: Om , is homage to the Body Speech and Mind of Tara. Tare, liberates and saves us from suffering in Samsara -- the suffering of this world and all six worlds. Tuttare liberates us from the 8 inner dangers, 8 external types of dangers and 8 supernatural dangers. These are symbolically stated as lions, elephants, and so on, but represent every danger. Each external danger is a class of dangers: - "Lions" means any dangerous animal or predatory threat; - "Elephants" means any angry being who threatens us - "Fire" represents any natural threat from fires, heat, drought or war, even bodily "fever" - "Snakes" represent any threat from poison, diseases, epidemics, or environmental threats such as pollution - "Robbers" represent any threat from crime or criminals, or even broader economic factors that rob us of livelihood - "Prisons" refer to anything that imprisons our freedoms, any chains such as the prejudice of others, corrupt officials, and so on. - "Floods" refer to any danger from the watery elements, not only floods, but oceans, storms, waves, drowning or any danger from water. - "Demons" refers to any supernatural threat outwardly (and the matching internal demons, psychosis, and so on. As explained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, these dangers mirror the "internal" poisons of pride (lions), delusion (elephants), hatred (fire), jealousy (snakes), wrong views (robbers), greed (prisons), desire (floods), attachment (demons), helping us to overcome them. Thus, Tuttare liberates us from every outer and inner danger as well as supernatural, such as ill-intentions of others, curses, and evil magics. Ture, liberates us from disease. Svaha, is the root of the path, and means “be it so” or “well said.” THEN -- the praise that you cited, the Dharani translates as a "praise to the supreme mantra (the mantra above): English Translation: Homage to Tara the Swift and Courageous, You drive away all our fears with TUTTARE, Saviouress fulfilling all aims with TURE, With syllables SVAHA, we offer homage. This Dharani actually explains what the mantra itself does (as explained ore fully by the First Dalai Lama) but also praises the power of that mantra. SO -- if you only chanted the Dharani, you're already chanting the mantra because it's part of the Dharani itself (you can see each of the ten syllables there) but it elaborates on it. THEN -- highly recomended is the full 21 Praise Dharani, which is the "longer form of the above Dharani" although you need more time of course. This starts with the short Dharani then has 21 praises -- one to each of the 21 Tara forms (who are all Tara Herself manifesting in different ways) -- but more elaborate. If you chant in Sanskrit it is considered a Dharani (as stated in the Sutra). If you chant in English, we think of it more as a "praise prayer." Hope that helps. There is more detail on this on the videos for the above, and even more detail on BuddhaWeekly.com The short Dharani: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqeyaXl5d6uGaNE&t The longer Dharani (21 verse) kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZonPiqCXaq2KlbM kzbin.info/www/bejne/baKxgmiomMilmpI&t Playlist for the individual mantras of each 21 Taras (in progress, not complete yet): kzbin.info/aero/PL8d71VyWOwkF-UFqw9h5-PZFo4Rr8kurq Our special Tara Section on Buddha Weekly is here: buddhaweekly.com/tara/ Hope that helps.
