A few years ago when I went to driving lessons, nobody around me took it serious. My teacher showed us a lot of those clips to make us aware of the dangers and responsibilities of driving. I have no idea how the others felt, but I know I was the only one sitting there after class not able to stop crying. Maybe being a very empathic person does not help me, but I don't understand how so many people can speed and drive so carelessly. How people can be so reckless. Why we have to be against each other, instead of with eachother. Thank you for doing such a great job at educating us, even if it doesn't reach everyone, one person more that pays more attention is already a win.
@PrinceRules645 ай бұрын
It sounds like you were already conscientious, so that must have been difficult to sit through, but as you say - if it affected even one more person in that class (or series of classes) then I guess it was worth it. Drivers are so often selfish and take no responsibility for the impact they have on others. No one's perfect (most of these clips involve multiple faults) but everyone has to try to do the right thing for roads to be safe! It seems the fact that they're not is primarily because so many people don't.

I live in a state with a very wide range of seasons, every winter we get schmucks who think they don't half to slow down in bad weather. They crash. Every. Year. Sunny weather-Speed limit Light rain-Speed limit Heavy rain- Scratch five off The roads are slick and visibility is compromised. My version of a creative road safety ad would be like this: -The beginning promotes a fake automobile and it starts off like a random car ad -It talks about random thingamabobs whilst the family inside act like there having a good time, literally like any commercial -The camera then pans out to a nice country roadway to show the nice view because that's what car commercials have -The car goes around a bend but all of a sudden an older car comes out of nowhere and ends up ramming headfirst into the advertised car -The advertised car is more or less smashed up in the front, but the family is more or less untouched, thanks to what one of the advertised features was top quality safety, but the camera doesn't go to the other, older car. -The camera then pans out away in a top down view, with text saying: "They may say that your car is really safe, but can you say the same with the other?" -End of PSA

It killed the teen driver and the child in the back on the person responsible. The mom wasn’t paying attention and swerved into the on coming lane and hit the teen who was turning. Since the school zone starts on a 55mph road the mom was still going 55. The teens car flipped and rolled.

@bff13165 жыл бұрын
As a senior I beg to differ. The message as I see it was many don't watch around them as they unreasonably expect that they will be seen. We have a lot of trust in others. At 60 miles per hour on the freeway we expect that all the other drivers will pay attention, be polite, be careful, use signals, not spill the coffee, not put on make-up, not be eating or drinking, and on and on. A couple decades ago when I was teaching my son how to drive I had him work out how many feet he was moving per second at different speeds. I asked the questions at random. A couple years ago I asked again, he answered correctly and thanked me. He told me that because he knew how far he moved per second he was a very cautious driver. As a dad I am so glad.

@aaronpollard66626 жыл бұрын
Samovar maker and if there's no road markings?
@samovarmaker96736 жыл бұрын
+Aaron Pollard In the particular case presented in the last ad, simple collision avoidance would have been enough - had there been road markings or not. Self driving cars have the capacity to replace human drivers in simple day-to-day situations such as going to work, going to school, going shopping. It is in these situations that most car accidents happen - people are minding their business one minute and find themselves guilty of murder the next. Almost all roads that people use for such day-to-day tasks have markings - meaning that self driving cars have a place on them. Self driving cars won't be perfect. There will still be accidents. However, by eliminating human error, they will make our roads much safer.

Shes only like 6 so you cant expect her to know full on road saftey, again, it is common sense, I would also call the drviers fault as for not looking for pedestrians, it's both of their faults, mainly the driver for speeding and not checking for any pedestrians, but also the girl was J-walking so, they're equal.
