Another thing about Dutch that I read a couple of days ago in a comment - in the beginning of chapter 2, his tent was right in the middle of the others. As the story moves on, his tent moves away from the other tents, ending up to be quite a bit away from them. Found that really interesting.

Congratulations on the result you have achieved. Of all these details you have shown, the one I found most interesting is that of Dutch and his speechs during chapters 2 and 6. At first both Arthur and John had doubts about Dutch's thoughts and decisions, but they followed him. Eventually, however, it turns out that Arthur and John were right.
@noodles4662 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about exactly? 🤨 What detail do you mean because that wasn't a detail that was literally apart of the story that we all experienced the first playthrough
@themadtitan76032 жыл бұрын
The Dutch detail is one of the ones I instantly noticed on my first playthrough. It's clear how different and down the mood of the camp is in Beaver Hollow compared to Horseshoe Overlook just by taking a walk around, Dutch's speech are less frequent and the amount of people actively listening to them or pretending to are none.
@unncommonsense2 жыл бұрын
The Blackwater robbery which happens before the game starts was really the beginning of the end for the gang. The events happening while we play are the decline and dissolution. Makes you wonder how things were when they were riding high. It was easy for Dutch to be popular and spout his BS when they were doing well. Congrats on your ever-increasing sub count!
@Daxter-hl7dw2 жыл бұрын
I think Dutch cared before and in the beginning of the story but his fear of failure was getting the better of him, ESPECIALLY when Hosea dies. I think Micah got into his head when he saw that he was slowly unraveling, fed him the delusions that people were betraying him and hoping for his downfall and put emphasis on the fact people were losing hope. The vibe I got from the gang (including Dutch) was a family, people with strong bonds and trust who all cared for one another. That eventually became just a group of people under a delusional man once Micah came back and Hosea was gone. I mean Arthur and John both made it clear that Dutch picked them up when they were kids and certainly accommodated for them as they grew and had a family in John's case. If Dutch only cared about his success he would've never picked them up or would've dropped John once he had a kid.

Yeah I finally went back and played through the story again after completing it a few years back.. I actually was amazed how much I was enjoying the game the 2nd time around. I was taking my time and enjoying the scenery, going to places on the map I had never visited, actually paid attention to and tried to complete the challenges.. tried out different weapons, clothes, and horses...no rush at all. The key to the enjoyment is that I wanted to try to complete everything you could "as Arthur" this time. The only mistake this time was that I went too far in the main story line and was sick from the TB earlier than I had planned which took a slight bit of enjoyment out of the rest of the effort to complete everything.
