@1:50 and for the next 90 seconds: somebody didn't pay enough attention. Every NPC has a randomized preference order for the four "persuade" options, but they are fixed for any particular NPC for your entire playthrough. The goal of the minigame is to pick the options the NPC likes when that quadrant is more full, and pick the options they don't like when it's less full. How do you know which they like? Look at their faces and listen to what they say. With just a little practice, you can max out the buff from the minigame in under two minutes, every time.

The Batmobile would've been such a good addition if it was utilised right. It was used better in the Mr. Freeze dlc than in the entire story. The tank battles felt like cop outs that replaced what could've been great battles against Deathstroke and Firefly to name some.
@ryantaylor83982 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Personally, I love the Batmobile chase sequences. The tank combat was what bored me to tears. The puzzle solving with the Batmobile didn't bother me as much as the tank combat, but it was probably overshadowed by the boring tank combat.

I think there needs to be a list of cool features that have not been recycled. An example, Sid Meier’s Pirates Gold had a aging mechanic that made the game more difficult as you played longer instead of scaling up enemies. I would love to see this feature in some of the new massive RPGs. I think it would lend to multiple play throughs.

I am playing Like a Dragon right now and I still don't care for turn based games, but this game makes it fun by having actual interaction between characters. No still images "taking damage." However, because of their constant movement, you try to do AOE attacks that end up missing because your character wants to do a dance first, letting them out the way. Also knocking enemies down for a followup attack, but going through menus and confirming text gives them time to get back up. Genius and annoying at the same time, having elements of an action game, but still the annoying elements of turn based games.

Great on paper: 18 quintillion Planets (1-6 per Star System) Great on Paper: 255 Galaxies / Dimensions Less Great: 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 Planets to visit... pretty much all the same (at launch) More Less Great... Travel 800,000 light years to center of Galaxy, to move to next Galaxy incrementally at 3,000 LY / Jump... Just 254 more of this!!! To go!!! This ain't helping either: Add Black holes that can instantly transport you 100,000+ LY ahead... Or laterally, or Backwards... Yes, there are much more efficient ways... at least nowadays. Honestly, I cannot even recall how these mechanics originally worked at launch. That was 6 years, 20 Free Updates and >950 played hours ago PS: there is almost certainly more content coming tomorrow July 20th. The Twitter clue was a flexing arm emoji. July 20 + Strong Arm + Apollo...

Jules, without Robbie the robot - we wouldn't of had much of a video game industry today. Plus, Nintendo never intended Robbie for more than getting stores to stock video games again after the 1983 crash because it is not "a video game system like Atari, but a entertainment system; because ours has a robot". And, getting parents to think "entertainment system" not "video game system". Shortly after Robbie was released and the NES took off as a major success; they discontinued it. They only made one game for it that was intended to demo the robot. It was never intended for anymore than a gimmick to get their system to sell in North America. Nintendo repeated stated it was solely to get them into the market here - not to be a feature they wanted to support; nor intended more than to show off and sell their system. Players who play it are basically playing a demo that was intended to just be shown on a display in stores. Calling it a gaming mechanic we all hated is kind of missing the whole purpose of Robbie - it wasn't intended to be played. It was intended to sell the system to people who don't play video games.

It's also going to depend on how you play the game. I found it fun and relaxing for the majority of the gameplay, so I wasn't rushing through and rarely ever had to sooth BB. I wasn't expecting it to come up on this list because it just wasn't something that I faced. But I also moved slower and never really fell or got too heavy into combat. Then I watch other people's game play and see them sprinting everywhere and falling all over the place, and those seem to be the ones that complain about the game play. I'd say if you have the new PS+ stuff, try it out for free and see if it's your kinda game. If you have good internet connection you can even stream it instead of dow loading it.
