Loved the video, it's the first time i've heard someone say using AC is better than windows open, and it didnt make sense to me at first but thought about the aerodynamic impact that has and it makes a lot of sense Your editing has also improved, the video was very entertaining to watch (and a little side note, I find it kind of funny the way you pronounce the word "gear", first time i've heard it being pronounced like that)
@vertviger2 ай бұрын
Yeah , I thought that opening windows is better than using air conditioner, but actually aerodynamics takes a lot more fuel consumption on it than air conditioner does. And it plays a very big role especially on the highways. Really happy that you like the video, I really worked on it for a long time to improve it as much as I can :) Also about my pronouncing, yeah , it needs some work, but sometimes I really spell words kinda funny ) (It's not about gear word only , also more words, but usually I rerecord a lot of phrases, so it would sound normal) Thanks for your wonderful comment, friend 😊

Unless you have a motorbike engine, AC will not have a noticeable impact on fuel consumption or power, especially when cruising and even more so with bigger engines. Opening your windows will absolutely have a major impact lol.

@@squareeyes1117 And also impact from opened windows will graduately increase with higher speed Thanks for explaining friend 🙂 Did you like the video? Maybe I said something wrong from mechanical perspective? I was a bit confused how to explain how engine braking works.
@squareeyes11172 ай бұрын
@@vertviger engine braking is very simple, it's only possible in petrol engines unless the diesel has an exhaust or Jake brake. When you downshift and close the throttle, the engine has to work to suck in air past the throttle plate. This creates a high vacuum in the intake manifold. As the intake valve opens for air, the vacuum pulls on the piston as it tries to suck air in, minimal air enters the chamber which means that minimal fuel is injected (less than idle), a small amount of fuel is still injected to keep the combustion chamber cool. Most engines tend to command a fuel ratio which is nearly double stoich (close to 30:1) meaning 30 particles of air for each particle of fuel. Engine braking is a very simple and cost effective technique in many aspects from brake wear, fuel consumption and even engine wear. More people should be shifting down gears and engine braking down long descents rather than dragging the brakes Just keep in mind that if you're driving a manual, you must rev match as dragging the clutch will only wear it out. Clutches are much more expensive and harder to replace than brakes. Also be mindful of drivers behind as they will not see your brake lights when you engine brake. It may be a good idea to slightly press the brake pedal enough to activate the brake light switch

@@squareeyes1117 Thank you very very much for so detailed explaining ! Now it actually makes sense and I completely understand this process , that's so cool! Also you said that brake lights don't show that you are braking , while you are doing engine braking , that actually expected , but could engine braking be so fast that it will be unexpected for drivers behind and may cause some safety issues ?
