Nice video as always but I found the Gamerz Tek machine ate the cartridges and released them only after a fight and at a cost of bent pins, the Retrobit system grips the carts but releases them reasonably and with no bent pins, for me that is a very important consideration. I'd pay the extra $5 more for a good cartridge connector.

I chose the Classiq N HD, for when I'm stuck with HDMI only. Of the two that had a 4-3 switch, this one seemed to be the best value, and ran bit better than the Retron HD, IMHO.When possible, I use composite, as these games were designed for, back then. :)

I am not a fan of that system at all. It has a terrible color palette, some of the worst audio, and I am not a fan of the controller

Every controllers that came out for another system after the NES and SMS has had the buttons on the right slightly higher than the ones on the left so for many people to claim that they aren't used to that layout is just nitpicking. On the dog bone the A button is slightly higher than the B button, on the Game Boy the same way. On the Sega Genesis, both the B and C buttons were slightly higher than the A button and on the PlayStation, N64 and Sega Saturn it's like that as well. There's no controller after the NES where the button on the right is parallel or slightly lower than the ones on the left.

+Voan Siam I don't disagree and even pointed that fact out. I have less of an issue with the slightly raised A button than i do with the use of convex buttons or the placement of the start/select buttons. I'm also a bit surprised they didn't soften the edges like Hyperkin did with the Cadet.

I got a second hand original RES. It lacks HDMI output but the sound is actually good! I wonder why just the HDMI upgrade has poor sound

That's precisely it, the composite audio is accurate but the HDMI is off

Retro Bit RES plus is way better. The start button on the controller is better off higher up because when you are frantically tapping B you don't accidentally hit start. The convex buttons are also better than the concave ones used on NES and most clone controllers. Retro Bit plays better too and looks and sounds better.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Retro-bit, but between the two systems I prefer the 8-Bit HD. I like the controller better, I thought the color pallet was better and the audio was more accurate. Both are good systems but for my preferences, I liked the 8-Bit HD a little more.

I got a retro trio thinking the nes part would work as i saw a video of it, but that must have been a different model or something because his came with genesis controllers (they where snes shaped) where mine came with snes controllers (same shape of course)

Hi,I have a Atgames Sega Genesis console the one with 40 games built in.And I'm playing Formula One and on the bottom of the screen is a bunch of pixelated colors.Is the game bad?Or would it need a cleaning?All the other games work fine.This game is a cartridge not one that's built in. I just got the gamerz tek 8-bit clone and this thing is a piece of crap! Not only do you have to have pristine game carts before it will read it, but I tried pulling a game out and two of the pins popped out! Absolutely garbage.

I've had none of those issues, have you contacted them for support? They are quite outstanding and I'd recommend contacting them if you're having issues.
