I’ve had a crush on this girl for a while and she was giving me signs. She hugged me, she said hi all the time, she complimented me, and I tried to show her signs too. Now, a crush makes the most confident alfa person to feel insecure and nervous. What I use is that I try to trick my mind to think that in actuality I am talking to somebody else than to my crush. I also try to differentiate between that fantasy person in my head (crush) and real actual person. When I realise that the person can be different than what I imagined them to be, I get curious to know them in real life. And that comes over as interested to know them as human beings. It is not easy, but the only way which works for me. Hope that this helps...
