GIRL WHAT. Fishtail braids are the easiest braids ever, it looks so complicated but its not! You make split your hair into two instead of the usual three and then you just keep pulling strands (smaller the better) from left to right and then right to left repeatedly thats it. It's super free because unlike the other braids where you have to keep track of the strands your pulling and the ordering of tucking, fishtail is FREEDOM.

@@fayth6717 i get your point but i think the og commenter was talking about how surprisingly simple fishtail braids are! ive always assumed theyre too complicated and that i should stay with 3-strand braids, but once i learned fishtail braids this isnt the case :) a friend of mine has cerebral palsy and its hard for her to do a lot of hairstyles, but she loves fishtail braids becayse she can do them easier than a 3-strand :))!

i find the braid in the back is a lot easier if you tie the front of your hair up first especially if you arent used to it or you have shorter hair because it keeps the hair you dont want to get out of the way
