How incredibly beautiful is the nature of Australia!!! Just fantastic landscapes! And it was shot just fantastically cool. Not many bikers are able to make a video product of this quality. A professional cameraman and a biker in one person is a really great combination ;) I have been looking for good quality films about traveling through the wild nature of Australia for a long time. So far, this is the best I've seen ;) Shooting from your magical blue drone is also just amazing. I really hope to see films about your new travels in Australia. In general, not much has been filmed about traveling around Australia in comparison with other continents that are more accessible to travelers. I would really like to see a film about a trip to Western Australia, the Northern Territories, Central Australia. I'm sure there are plenty of beautiful places there. I'm looking forward to new exciting movies ;)

Super impressive effort! I've had my Skydio 2+ for a couple of months now and it's as close to the best motodrone I've ever seen and worked with. For those moments of anxiety when you're drone has lost contact and is down in an unknown location, I've found a quick way to locate it unrelated to the app is by attaching Samsung SmartTags to the drone and the battery separately. Thanks for all the work that went into this!

G’day Brent. We have downloaded your tracks and routes. Many thanks. They have been a helpful guide to our Flinders adventures. We thought we’d let you know that today we completed the Mt Gill climb from Warrawena Station. Hardest thing we have ever done but we managed it on 3 GS’s. There was some trepidation before we successfully climbed Mt Samuel however it should be directed all to Mt Gill. If you are back this way and attempt Mt Gill, it would be prefect for your drone. Footage would be incredible. Thanks again. Mike, Ben and Nev 😀🏍️💨

Brent, brilliant production! I'm impressed with the amount of aerial shots. normally on other channels the use of the drone is limited to a small part of the video, I suppose because of the difficulty in taking the shots and the fact that the dji doesn't even come close to skydio in terms of motion track! really fantastic. I myself have a dji and I don't use it much because it's more stress than fun as it should be, with skydio everything seems so natural...
@brentbat2 жыл бұрын
Hey there. Thanks for your note. I'm smiling as I wrote this because I just had a comment on one of my other videos and the guy writing it said I use too much drone footage in my videos... blah blah blah. I love the drone, it gives a great perspective, and when you are riding solo, if I don't use drone, then it's going to be boring POV stuff all the time. Yes, flying Skydio is so different to DJI drones. It tasks some getting used to when you switch (trusting the drone etc.). Once you learn to trust it, then you just ride.... and give the drone occasional instructions on direction and range... that's it.
@nofrontiersmotoadvs2 жыл бұрын

Thanks KA... yes, my heart skipped a beat as well when I saw that it has crashed. I was lucky... Although I have had 3 Skydio crashes and it has survived each time.... Great video Brent love the drone footage I had done a search on google maps of the Finders ranges and thought Willow Springs looked like a good spot I live in Adelaide and I saw a 2018 AT1000 online for sale in Mackay. I jumped on a plane picked it up and rode it back home. Love the bike ! So I was out last Sunday testing her out on some dirt roads in the Adelaide Hills when I stopped at Mt Torrens pub and there were 3 adventure bike riders on BMW R 1250 GS Adventure bikes. Started chatting and I mentioned Willow Springs. All three started laughing and said "DON"T GO THROUGH THE LOCKED GATE !!" They showed me photos of their 3 BMW's laying on their sides sourrounded by football size rocks. They unloaded the bikes and got them out and returned through the locked gate. They advised me to just stick to the track which was quite good
@brentbat2 жыл бұрын
Ah.. that is funny. Yes, I have seen people take the big bikes up the back of Skytrek, but as I said in my video... I would NOT want to be on a big bike. I reckon I could probably ride a GS up there... but it would definitely be sketchy... and I'm sure I'd be dropping it a few times. But Mt Samuel track is different, and also the loop around Artimore ruins and Nucaleena mine is also fine for big bikes. But the back part of Skytrek.... Nah! It's more suited for the mid-size or light weight bikes. But the first 3/4 of Skytrek is still a great ride.

Neat windscreen solution, where did that come from? I notice you are using the Double Take mirrors, I found them a total pain as they take such a long time to reset up every time you fold them and they vibrate like hell as well as weighing a tonne. I now use Tourtech folding mirrors which are simply brilliant. They use a ratchet so you can flip them out and always return to the exact same position in exactly 1 second, no fiddly adjustment. Plus they are as clear as the OEM mirrors at speed. Also they are half the weight and half the price. Best mirrors I have ever used on my 690.
@brentbat2 жыл бұрын
The windscreen solution is part of the Lynx fairing from Brittania in Canada. Works really well. Regarding the mirrors, I never fold them away when I ride, I leave the doubletake mirrors where they are, and just tilt the left one up so that it gives me visibility when standing on the pegs, the right one when I'm sitting, but I do use them to keep track of riders behind me. The Touratech mirrors look pretty sweet.

Amazing ride and outstanding narrative👍. I have the orange version of your 701 and curious as to your ownership experience. My 2019 690 has served me well as a lightweight adventure machine.

Hi Paul So far my bike has been faultless (I wish I could say the same about the rider). It has been very reliable. I do enjoy working on the bike... so I keep it well maintained, but it has not let me down yet. I'm getting ready for a big 17 day adventure back to the Flinders and then across the Simpson, so we'll see how it goes on that test.
