I spent 8 days in the ULTIMATE balcony stateroom on a cruise ship. I stayed in an XL Sea Terrace onboard Virgin Voyages and absolutely loved it. These rooms are so spacious and beautiful. The best part is they all include a hammock on the sea terrace, or balcony, which is a feature not currently offered by any other cruise line expect for Virgin Voyages. I did the same sailing in March 2023, and doing it again in December 2024. The Sea Terrance rooms are a must on a longer cruise! I did opt for a XL I thought the normal size was big enough for me and my wife. The hammock is such an amazing spot considering its nearly impossible to get a spot near the pool during sea days. But sitting out there and eating a pizza or ordering something from Ship Eats makes it so worth it! The movie selection was also impressive they had a lot of new releases too, however during the cruise we had great weather and never found ourselves wanting to sit inside and watch a movie. Turning the bed into a sofa seems like a cool function however, I never once used it, but I think if I was sailing with a larger group and they had interior rooms and came to my room then I see it being useful. But for anyone questioning if a Virgin Voyage Cruise is worth it or not, I can't recommend it enough! It was such an amazing time!

Definitely agree. We just came back from our 2nd Virgin cruise, both on Scarlet Lady. Such good service and food. Employees are really nice and helpful.

Nice! I have a solo XL Sea Terrace booked on Scarlet Lady in March! I think I lucked out on a 'glitch' on their website as I was just exploring and had NO real plans on booking, but when I saw I could get the Sea Terrace for LESS then an interior room, it was like 'yes, sir, book that one for me!!!' I love Virgin and have been itching to get back onboard Scarlet Lady after sailing on her very shortly after cruising restarted!

Just booked a 3 week repositioning on Resilient Lady in an XL Sea Terrace. Yes, the room is quite stark compared to the 8 other cruise lines I’ve sailed BUT a change is as good as a holiday, they say. Also, for what’s included in the fare I feel Virgin Voyages is a great option. I can’t wait to board.

Looks like a dorm. No sofa and a curtain instead of door. The throne room looks tight for some bigger cruisers. It must be work for staff if you want the bed changed to a sofa every day. Oh well,,,

Room seems very basic reminds me of 1-2 star Ibus hotels in Europe. I guess i'm just used to Celebrity nice room decor

I’d love to try Virgin, but living in the west it takes a whole day just to travel to south Florida. No way do that for a 5 night cruise

So if you go out on the balcony and close the slider, the air conditioner will still stay off until you go back inside and lock the door? That's annoying.

Had you heard anything on board about the delay of their 4th ship, the Brilliant Lady? I've been trying to find out how many ships they intend to have and if they plan on making any changes to the ships? Currently it appears that each ship is identical to the others. I remember when they first started announced the concept people were concerned whether or not they could fill one ship let alone four. I'm so happy for them and they're success. I think I'm going to have to break down and book one of these. Already earmarked one as a side- to- side with my Halloween Cruise this fall.

Radio silence on Brilliant Lady. It's not even available to book on their website any longer. I believe she will be identical to the first three and then I'm sure their next order of ships will have modifications based on feedback from these. With the prices recently going insane for their cruises it seems they are filling their ships. And it's no surprise as they have such a great product!
