No, in all seriousness, we will need to rent a car, find a grocery store in Auckland that is open on a Sunday..then find our way to Whangarei. Hopefully I can find accommodation before we arrive 😆. Need somewhere furnished to stay for about 3 months while we wait for all our things to arrive....that search has been incredibly challenging to date. Found a place but by the time we received confirmation it was booked.. so the search continues in the midst of packing... then SLEEP! Very excited to explore but it will have to wait a but as I start work the day after we land. Jet lagged n all. 🎉🙃

Having lived France for a few years I am still convinced that New Zealand produces the best wines in the world. I would in terms of French wines give a shout out for Cahors (a deep rustic red) which on a hot sunny day chilled down a touch is a red for sitting in the garden with a plate of camembert and crackers. If you ever see it do try it! Great vlog beautiful places _ thanks for taking me along :)

We’re coming for a month at Christmas! We went to Elephant Hill when my son was 6 and he still remembers the enormous plate of ice cream and popping candy they rustled up for him. Look forward to going back!

Just found your channel - traveling in Feb to NZ to elope with my fiancé and planning a Hawke’s Bay wine tour, love the idea of going by bike! Could this be done coming from Napier?

Welcome! There's different wine trails all over and loads of different places that you can rent bikes and wing it yourself. You probably could rent from central Napier but most of the vineyards are further out so you'd probably be better booking a tour or getting a car/uber out to the bike companies

Don't know if you guys know this fact, but Elephant Hill is the finish line for the Hawkes Bay Marathon. Paticipants get a wine/apple juice/cider at the finish line 😁
