Finally some tips. Watched someone else tips video with more views [!!!] and the "tips" are pure garbage. Tips like "close a rift to get XP" or "create camps to have a fast travel point"… People misconcept tip for information. Every tip is a information, but not always a information is a tip.

It's now mid-2024, and I just started playing DAI in prep for Dragon Age: Veilguard. I know the combat in Veilguard will be more like Mass Effect, just wanted to get a taste for the lore and worlds. Enjoying it so far, amazing for a game that released 9 years ago. These tips are super helpful!

Regarding Tip # 1, I bought the "free" respec in Haven. When I arrived in Skyhold there was another "free respec" available. Buy that one in Haven before it's gone whether you plan to use it now or not. You can get 2 of the "free" respecs this way.

Are the bonus rings fixed yet? IIRC, the application of said bonuys was very wonky and you could end up with no bonus at all for any number of arbitrary reasons.

Still hate the barrier. No spirit healer feels like getting on a horse without helmet. In DA2 I didn't take a step without Anders, and I was a mage with healing too. Also, no blood mage? STILL no ranger again? No Dog?

The herald of andraste cannot afford to be a blood mage. Grey wardens have been known to resort to blood magic if need be, hawke was an apostate. A religious figure head cannot be a bloodmage unless it is the only way to defeat corypheus

On the tactical view, I can't move individual characters around to position them specifically. I've tried every btn combination but couldn't find the way to do it. Can any 1 help me?

what do you mean you can't move? click on there icon (or F1 F2 F3 F4 i think to switch) will switch you to other characters than just click where you want them to go , if you don't want them to move, than "H" to hold there position.

the respec actually works differently. you can buy it for 1 gold (also in skyhold) as many times you want. as long as you don't already own one. so if you use it, buy another one for 1 gold
