Loved your insight here. Could you do a video on how to properly read greens? Everyone seems to have videos on set up and stroke, but one of the most important aspects of putting is reading greens.

Picking a spot and listening for the ball to go in really helped me. I was bad about trying to watch it go in

never thought of not using a line outside of 15’ and concentrating more on pace instead, usually i try to do both and it doesn’t end well. will give that a shot, thanks Drad Balke!

I think the advantage of being opposite eye dominant is huge! You don't have to turn your head or neck at all to give the hole one final check as far as alignment. There's a very good chance your line will be different if you have to lift your head to see if the line is correct at setup. I'm a lefty, but right eye dominant, & it makes it feel so much simpler!

I like to point the line on my ball at the center of the hole. I then use that to index my putter once I’ve chosen a line.

I would love to know if you have any tips for long putts. Is there a way to find a good feel, or is that more just knowing the greens and knowing your stroke. Obviously I try to imagine a 3 foot circle around the hole and stop it in there, but I didn't know if pro's have tricks for long putts.

Didn’t even know it was a thing to look inside of the ball when putting. Def gonna give this a try bc I am awful at putting lol

exposed wall idea....first seal the wall. Seal it with a few layers of spray on resin, matt finish not gloss. Then don't do floor to ceiling glass, keep an 8 inch gap around for ventilation, install fans in the I inch surround, coat glass with antifouling treatment. Install heaters left and right behind the 8 inch surround. This will also provide subtle lighting. Heat for the winter. In summer open top vent for heat to escape. Or turn off heater. In winter open bottom vent to allow heat into the room should be good....I think

broski the true secret to make more putts is to put the ball close to the cup :) so get dialed with your irons

Haha. Putting, the entirety of it all (routine, thought processes/superstitions, stance, grip and stroke), has gotta be up there on most individualized thing in all of sports. I don't feel comfortable if i use someone else's putter even if it's just to try it. It kinda makes me feel like I cheated on my putter and my hand gets kinda clammy😅. So then there's the whole addition of that aspect and individualized equipment then it's the most headspace-y place in any competitive arena (unless I'm the only one with a relationship like that with my putter? But then i can't make a putt and 2 holes later i hit it on a bench and wanna throw it in a lake. So it's an abusive relationship haha). I mean like a kicker have head things going on I'm sure but the ball is the same for everyone and it's just STRAIGHT and it's not as relatable. And pitching I'm sure it personalized and all that but you don't get to have like thicker laces with a different pattern that "feels" better. Maybe it's just me. And if a guy steps ON your line from 4-5' out, but it's uphill and you gotta aim like 1-2 cups right so it's gonna bow towards you and you're into the grain on a wooly green and now there's a big 👣 dent 😠, just over it but brushes off a leaf that you wanted to move but now don't have to 😃, has his shadow on your line and is talking and his shadow bothers you since you missed on the last 2 greens plus he just bitched about some superstitious shit when you opened your beer in his backswing and that's why he fucked up his 40 yard approach 🤨😡. And now you had to yell at him and gotta start over 🤬🤬🤬. But that shadow ain't there anymore and you make it 😒😉😏

I watched the putter grip video and just for shits and giggles I decided to try a different grip. I went to the range and and started at 5 feet and got use to the new grip. I missed shine and made some. I started to get comfortable with the new grip. I moved to ten foot putts and made 14 out of 15 putts. Hahaha I'm gonna try it on the course now. If it only saves me 1 stroke then that's great. All because I just played around with different grips after watching his grip video. Lol
