January 1, 1983 is considered the official birthday of the Internet. Prior to this, the various computer networks did not have a standard way to communicate with each other. It's amazing that in only 41YRS , we have become totally dependant on this fragile system , called the World Web / Internet , in all parts of our daily lives.

have a good set (or 3) of hand tools and materials for home repair, you could use them to also build items to mess with trespassers

Hard copy manuals and guides. If the grid is out, the internet will not be able to answer questions. A library is a must. If you can protect your kit, digital is good, but no power, no data.

You always cover the essentials but the reality is that there are a lot of things that we would need and we would want but people shouldn't let that overwhelmed them. I don't spend hundreds of dollars every month prepping but I have acquired a lot of stuff through diligence shopping and I have bought many things in the clearance sections of stores and when I find inexpensive food items I'll grab some add little by little people can be very well prepared if they just take some initiative

There is always a first time. The groceries stores in Oregon have already raised prices by 35%. I am in my 70's and have been awear of prices slowly going up so I try and get what I can when I have a few extra dollars. Even if people think I am overreacting I would rather not wished I had then suffering. I hope we can be safe, sane and respectful and hope for the best.

China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia invading the US together is such a ridiculous idea I almost don't want to say that it's nonsensical. Almost. It's nonsensical. Firstly, they lack the population of soldiers to properly occupy our country. So, even if they do invade, AND it went as good as physically possible for them,it'd be like Afghanistan but in turbo speed mode. Second, they lack the firepower. Even if they managed to get a metric fuckload of invaders into our country, they would still need to transport TONS of actual weaponry out here towards us. That's just not happening. We have the two biggest air forces on Earth, AND the most powerful Navy, and that's perfect for stopping long range invaders from trying to Normandy their asses onto our shores. Specifically about firepower though Russia doesn't have the supply of weaponry to handle Ukraine when they're using our surplus and our trash, let alone our newer good stuff. Third, they lack the motivation to team up for this, financially it'd be a disaster for China who makes a huge portion of their GDP from exports to the US, Russia can't handle that smoke, Iran isn't capable of a long range assault and would rather focus on dealing with their own area, and North Korea... Is a joke, actual invasion would stop their food supply and end with an assassination of the entire Kim family

As much as I'd like to think and hope you're right there are too many things happening that point the other way. Those balloons flying overhead aren't something that oops just got away, the mass numbers of individuals flooding over the border, the incessant frenzy to divide and spread discontent amongst us etc all point to a bad place. The infrastructure compounded with a balloon launched emp and we'll be taking ourselves out within a year and make the job of invasion a much easier thing to accomplish. If you haven't take a look at the book series One Second After for an idea of what things may look like and the death toll this could possibly bring.

They don't need to. They can accomplish the same goals with small groups attacking systematically and then letting Americans in-fighting finish us. They will propagate a Second American Civil War. Then the New World Order moves in via U.N. Peacekeepers to "Restore Order" and "rebuild."

I hope you’re correct. The possibility of small acts against the US infrastructure would create chaos. Though a lot of people still have their guns could defend small areas in their area from further damage, I suppose. I think you may be correct we still wouldn’t get a Normandy type invasion. Would need to back up military bases so no chance of looting those weapons and materials.

Why do you think they want to, or even have to physically invade our mainland. What they really want is to destroy us as a world power and gain worldwide control. It will be sufficient to drop a few nukes and/or widespread EMPs to pretty much destroy our infrastructure, which is heavily electricity and electronics dependent. In three days, most cties would be without food, water, or sanitation. Transportation and production would be decimated. Food would rot in the fields without processing plants and transportion. We might be able to retaliate, but with our infrastructure destroyed, our country would take decades to recover and loss of life would be catastrophic.
