What foods do you no longer buy since getting your Thermomix?

Puff pastry. I use the thermomix quick puff pastry recipe. I don’t bother with resting in the refrigerator but I always freeze it so it’s there to use. I turn granulated sugar into caster sugar,icing sugar and brown sugar. Saves on storage space.

Didn’t you add any rock salt to preserve it?
@thermomixmiddleeast
@thermomixmiddleeast Ай бұрын
Hi @juliesharon14, adding salt is a personal preference, you could always add them when you make your vegetable stock. It's a common practice for us to freeze the stock to preserve it, we did not fully show how we store it, but typically, we put them in ice cube tray, freeze it and once frozen, we put them in a container or freezer bag, then take a cube as needed. In this case Cosmina did not add salt because she wants to control the salt that goes into her recipes. Sometimes there are recipes that does not need salt at all, it's totally up to your taste.

I have a Thermomix TM6 and I don’t use it barely at all. My husband and I joke that it’s the most expensive breadcrumb maker in the world, since it’s all I use it for. I’ve been disappointed in almost anything I’ve used it for so I stopped using it. The browning function is rubbish. Since browning gives food flavour I never use the Thermomix for anything that requires browning since it results in tasteless food. I made chicken and beef stocks when I first got the machine and they were absolutely awful. Making pastry or bread is horrendous since you have to fight the blades for 0 minutes too free your food. Each thing I’ve made, except breadcrumbs, has been disappointing so I just stopped using it.

Hi @danielleshelbourne220, thank you for your comment. Are you in Dubai? If you are, we'll be happy to receive you in our office and show you a few recipes in Thermomix; we could even do the sugar stages, bread, and many other things you've tried before. We are happy to help; our goal is to ensure that anyone who buys from us here is well-trained in using Thermomix to help with their home cooking experience. This is why we have regular cooking classes that teach and inspire our customers to use their Thermomix better and more frequently. Let us know if you can visit us; we'll gladly see you and help you. Have a wonderful day or night.

I am no comsultant for Thermomix but we have had a thermie in my family for many years. I would be happy to help you with a couple of recipes if you would like. My husband made a joke the other day, what would you do if TM6 broke. I said, its either i stop cooking or we get a new one lol I dont use the guided recipes as much, but i do have my favorites. I would be happy to share them with you!

@@vitavet3733 You’re so sweet, thank you so much. I really appreciate you reaching out, so kind of you. My consultant left me for dead with my Thermomix - promised me loads of help and as soon as I said that didn’t want to hold a party she dropped me like a hot potato. I spent soooo much money, seriously a LOT of money, buying accessories and loads of other things from the Thermomix online store so she got plenty of commission but didn’t even call or email me after I received my TM6. So I went onto KZbin to learn how to use it but have been disappointed with nearly everything I used it for so it sits on my countertop waiting for its chance to make breadcrumbs to relieve boredom. 😆 I’m trying to force myself to use it in the past couple of weeks and I found it grates Parmesan cheese fairly well, depending on how I want it grated, so there’s that too now. 😊 I have also used it to steam some homemade Asian dumplings and that worked fairly well. I bake a lot, all sorts of breads and pizzas mostly but I love my recipes so I make them by hand or in my KitchenAid. Weirdly, I enjoy handling my doughs, it helps me to understand dough better by learning how it feels at different stages - and it’s like a meditative mindfulness for me. The problem is that I typically like high-hydration doughs and I’d have to wrestle the blades for 15 minutes to release a super sticky dough - I use the stretch and fold technique rather than kneading. If you have a couple of recipes you find reliable to share I’d really love to try them out. I’d love to get more use of my TM6 since the majority of people seem to absolutely love their machine but my experience hasn’t been so positive thus far. My email is personal@urbandogtraining.com.au if you’d prefer to email. Thank you once again for your support - I really want to love my TM6. 🙏😊

😮if you need your meat browned, this is not the machine for you! It is not rubbish or the foult of the TM6, you were told wrong, maybe just to sell it, but the machine does it’s duty! And if you struggle with the blades, there is a tool to keep the dough from most parts of the knifes!😊 where do you live?!? Wich country?
