Durant and Westbrook. A duo that had chances multiple times to win the title. That 2012 run was crazy. Got past the Lakers, Got past the heavily favored Spur’s, and than they ran into a juggernaut in the Miami Heat. Fast forward to 2016. They were matched up with arguably the greatest team to ever assemble in the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Final’s and they crumbled. And we all know what happened next. It’s a shame that they could never win the title.

Tell the whole story yes 12, 14, and 16 they could have won. But 2013 Westbrook blew out his knee. 2015 Durant and Westbrook both missed too many games and missed the playoffs. 14 WCF was winnable against the spurs but ibaka didn’t play the first two games.

the warriors for 3 of those 4 games looked toast in 2016...they were not the greatest team ever..trust me...they had the best record but that doesn't mean shit...they had back to back 7 game series...and lost...that doesn't make them one of the best ever..the 2013 heat won 66 and went 7 twice...and won..we don't put them in the top 5 all time teams..some may not even have them top 10...that warriors team was not the same cause as everyone forgets curry got hurt missed round 1 and 2 games in round 2...and they went 6-1 without him so his injury effected their season and dominance...now the fact theyw on 6 out of 7 games without him proves that was a great team but all time?..they would lose to like 15 different teams so no they are not the best

I would say 1998's Jazz, after Pipen's injured and Jordan was tired after doing everything, if Jordan hasn't done that legendary play when he steal Malone's ball and hit the most legendary and important shot in NBA history, if that series went to 7 games, the Jazz would have won it.

Keon Clark would be a great topic for a video. 7ft with a crazy wingspan, 40+ vert still holds (I believe) the record for most blocks in a game which is 12 for the Raptors. @jp3813
@jp3813 4 жыл бұрын
The Sonics' general strategy throughout that series was to rotate different defenders on MJ every few minutes. Contrary to popular belief, GP was already included in the defensive rotation by Game 3, and directly caused more disruptions against MJ's best game of the series than on Father's Day when MJ did well against GP but struggled against the other Sonics. However, GP deserves significant credit for setting the defensive tone in Game 4, while MJ bounced back in Game 5 despite the loss. Overall, MJ's averages in that Finals is actually comparable to Kobe's Finals career averages.

What's even crazier regarding Stockton and Malone is not only had they a losing record in the Playoffs at 85-88 but also they had more first round loss (9) than Conference Finals appearances (5). Heard that a lot from LOW (Legend of Winning).

8:47 Perhaps of the teams they played in the FInals, but MJ HIMSELF has said that the 1998 Pacers ECF series was THE toughest he ever faced in the playoffs - and he came VERY close to losing to Larry Bird AGAIN (though Bird was coaching that time around, not playing).

Dude I totally love watching your videos I am all about old-school NBA. I’m totally going to subscribe right now. Andy you are one awesome dude. I have two teams I really love because both cities our hometowns for me. I love the Portland Trail Blazers because I grew up in Oregon and I have lived in Portland for about 21 years now. I love the New Orleans pelicans as well because I spent a lot of time there and even not there for a short time. New Orleans is a very special place for me too. I love Damien Lillard, CJ McCollum, Zion Williamson, Lonzo Ball if his dad can ever shut up. Plus I am really glad that Carmelo Anthony has had kind of a revised career again since joining the trail blazers

Nahhh I gotta say the 93 Suns. Charles Barkley had an MVP year and MJ took that personally and he had the best postseason ever. Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson, and a loaded roaster could had easily won a championship that year but MJ was playing his best basketball ever then and he was averaging 41ppg, and even with this it was still a 6 game series. Sir Charles said that he wasn’t mentally ready for game 1 of that series and he takes full blame for the game 1 loss. Suns had home field that night too and If Charles had a better game 1 and if John Paxson never hit a game-winner on game 6 then the Suns could’ve been champs in 93. I think to this date that it was the closest MJ was to losing a finals series

Nash and STAT were just very unfortunate, they could've been 07 champs but the suspension really didn't help. 2010 was the 2nd closest but Kobe was just out of this world.

@@bluefrenchhorn2606 yep back when jordan went to the wizards, he was supposed to go to the mavericks. Mark Cuban was even willing to give him a share of the team for him to go there, and jordan was still pretty good with the wizards with 20 ppg.

the Rocket led the Jazz in 2007 2-0 and 3-2. But they lost eventually by 4 points in game 7. If they could pass that Jazz team and force through that we-believe warrior. They will face the Spurs in WCF, which would be an epic battle (they tied 2-2 in regular season). If they manage to survive spurs (unlikely but not impossible), then all they need to do is to just swipe the cavs easily and win the ring. In hindsight, 2007 could be the year.
