As a seasoned citizen pushing 70, I still carry and shoot my 6 in .357 GP 100. Or I rock my Glock 22 in .40 S&W, my S&W .40 cal model 410, then my Sig Saur P220 (.45 cal), or my Glock model 41. I may be old but there is a reason I've lasted this long.

My favorite gun is the S&W Equalizer. It is just the right size to shoot and conceal well. Hammer fired excellent trigger, small size, capacity, pic rail and optics ready makes this a great gun IMHO. Ideally it would have a red dot [actually Viridian green dot] and a green laser for best defensive use.

First of all saying that people 45 and older are seniors is kind of silly. Second of all, I suggest rewriting the script and instead of focusing on people 45 or older, just focus on people who have issues with grip and other things that may not exclusively be affecting people who are older. After all, there are people with challenges since birth, people who had injuries, military veterans, and many others who are younger than 45 and have similar challenges. Overall, good info but for the idea that when you hit 45 you rapidly start declining. I myself just hit 60 and I'm still carrying the same full size firearms I carried when I was 45 and younger.

Quite true, I'm 70 and shoot full load .357 's with my 686 plus, however my trigger finger has bent a little bit due to arthritis and shooting my G19 is a bit of a pain, my finger gets pinched.

By the time you reach senior status, you probably can't afford a gun. Specially if you want to eat, have shelter, clothing etc. Which is almost impossible under the present regime. Also, why do the guns shown in the thumbnails look so interesting but so not real?

Actually, many people, when they reach their latter years, have more money for discretionary spending since they are usually no longer focused on superficial things like hot cars, unnecessary tech, and other things that we get into when we're younger. As we get older we usually figure out how to save money too so as someone who's likely within 10 years of retirement, I can buy pretty much whatever handgun I want and no, I'm not a 1 percenter.

Nope!!! I'm a Genx if your 45 and a man but can't handle recoil there's seriously something wrong with you. 45 also isn't a senior citizen fam!? But anyway I got everything in my safe from 9mm full frames to 10mm hot loads and everything in the middle. Most the dudes hands I shake younger got weak ass grips today, probably should point this list to them😂😂😂

Nope. I will Not buy a S&W Striker Fired Handguns. Over the past 5 years. I owned 3 S&W's. S&W MP Shield 2.0 EZ 380 and 9mm lastly SD9 2.0 9MM. All had SERIOUS Quality Control Issues to the point of being Dangerous.. My Personal Experience with these POS firearms!
