I love how many time and effort goes into researching each of these videos. I need to watch them all.

Some of these require 4+ years of school (trades) to do. Electrician is highly recommended to get red seal. Make sure you do you research before applying. Some of these are also extremely cyclical or in danger of being automated. I have experience doing some of these jobs and can say it's not worth it. Furthering your education will benefit you in long run, a job is just a job.

I have met so many people in my life who ended up miserable after going to college and can't find a job. Graphic Design is one of the subjects that a lot of people fell prey to. A job is not just "a job" if you genuinely find it interesting at the same time pays well, it is life. On the other hand, blindly chasing education just because you don't want to exert the mental effort to think on your own at the same time being tempted by safety and certainty that schools seem to offer on the surface is a sure ticket to hell.
@StevenHellvaren Жыл бұрын
You need to look at what's employable and what is in demand. The majority of people are not doing programs that have long term benefits. Arts for example is competitive and popular but has low wages and opportunities. This degree is very common, among others that don't have much future upside. If you dont take extra curricular seriously to get experience in school you pay the price after. There's nothing wrong with working a blue collar or a low skill job. Just understand there's only so far you go with that. Time towards a goal now, is money later. If you chase cash, you'll always be poor. Skills, experience are the most important.

To start with, your English has to be perfect to work in many jobs. Esp. in healthcare at jobs you mention. A mistake can kill a person. CCAs (Continuing Care Assistants) are in short supply everywhere, Home Care, Longterm Care...around $14 an hour where I worked for a few years once I stopped doing carpentry & teaching. Never earned more than $30 a year except working up in the far north. Building outside in -35 average temps in snow & ice was HARD work for a women of early 60s. My female students were not that inclined to show up or stay the day even though they were getting all free clothing etc & their grade 12 if they finished the building of the large house for domestic violence related protection. ALL the materials would be free to the Inuite community from southern taxpayers if only women built the shelter. People get used to that up north so it doesn't impress much to motivate hard work ethic

That should be way higher on the list than web developer. I would never recommend counting on boot camps to get a developer or UX/UI designer job in Canada. Truckers make bank.

Banks are closing everywhere including in Brampton, all rural towns in Nova Scotia too. Doesn't matter which multi billionaire bank. Restaurants need cooks in NS. And other staff in the kitchen. Min. wage is not yet $15. Many places only hire lots of people at part time positions so that they don't have to pay any benefits. Which they would if they hired just a few fulltime. That is how the famous business owners like the Boston Pizza guy who also sells ladies undies etc. keep so much money for themselves.
