On the one hand, the shotgun feels like something of a mean prank, as it looks like you have to out of your way to access the area it's in, and it's reasonable that a player would expect some kind of reward, even if somewhat minor, for the extra effort. On the other hand, an out of place seeming military grade shotgun looking like it's sitting on a shrine should perhaps be triggering one's "this is too good to be true" sensors.

Ok, no "Dog Ending" from Silent Hill 2? I mean, maybe because it's not *necessarily canon*, though it can't entirely be argued against being canon, either... I skimmed comments and was surprised I didn't see it mentioned at all. Some good suggestions for future lists, though, like "protagonists" with worse morals/motives/etc than the "antagonists" though that may have been done similarly before. ...But cmon!! Not even an honorable mention for dog ending?! Heck even alien ending is a running joke in the series of Silent Hill so... while I don't find that as funny, it's still ridiculous and completely circumvents the entire theme spectrum of the games. Anyway it dog ending deserves at least a mention, especially when you factor in its unique specific credits.

I do rather enjoy the idea of the dapper dressed Mr. X being too polite to not follow you into safe rooms or puzzle rooms. Man's got the manners to go with his fedora. Although, with the shoe on the other foot, it is absolutely terrifying to have no audio cue of his footfalls and just have him right outside the safe room when I poke out, like he just spawned in there and was still politely waiting to punch my face in. Hilarious politeness seems to be a thing of late with RE Antagonists, until they're pushed or decide to stop pissing about. Mr. X, Jack Baker chopping your foot off and then being kind enough to just sit there and even give you a First Aid so you can fix it in the early bits of 7, even Heisenberg in Village genuinely trying to team up with you in the back half. Capcom gotten a lot more considerate since the days of OG Nemesis showing up whenever and wherever he damn well pleased to ruin your entire life and wall-smash his way into your waking nightmares o:

How about a list about truly bizarre (and/or funny) glitches that cause a video game to do something that you would think shouldn't be able to happen (thus breaking the game and requiring the player to reset). Example: WWF Steel Cage Challenge (NES) At one point, when playing 2 player vs my sister, my wrestler randomly climbed out of the ring and actually went out into the crowd and left the screen. The count out reached 10, I'm pretty sure the bell rang, and the crowd noise was heard but it was stuck there at that point.
