You have such kind and excellent advice, Melissa! Your friends are lucky to have you. Your daughter’s hand was so cute and your picture in front of your home is the sweetest 🤗

Thank you so much, Wendy! I'm wrapping up a big bottle of Gin today, along with a Vermont Weather Stick we picked up for our friends on vacation. It's a fun thing to have on a fencepost in the yard. Can't wait to see our friends' new home. It was a major accomplishment they pulled off in a very short time since arriving to the states!

When we moved a family friend came by with their kids and they swept and cleaned up a little. I was so thankful for that! These are all great ideas! Shabbat shalom good friend!! :)

I'm so glad you mentioned this!! I also was thinking that either hiring or helping in the role of "cleaning crew" or yard cleanup, or garden consult would be incredibly nice gifts to someone in a new place. Either paying the bill for the service or pitching in and offering to help! I'm so happy someone did that for you. I was tremendously pregnant during our last move, and summertime and all, so you can imagine how motivated I was to do heavy labor! Shabbat shalom, sweet Chana! Tonight we're attending services at the BEACH (Shabbat at the Shore!). :)

These are great ideas. I'm the worst at coming up with gift ideas so I like to give cash or gift cards, but often worry that the receiver might think it's tacky or impersonal. I love giving gifts and wish it came easy for me but it hasn't so far. btw, when that little hand and arm shot up in the back it was so cute.

Thank you, Carol! You're so cute to catch that little hand. Yes, I spend a lot of time sitting in cars with "sleeping" children. In this case she was no longer asleep. ;) Thanks so much for your kind support!

Tanzy Thress i agree! I had a newborn and so much financial and life stress at the time. In one day everything looked so much more “put together,” it really helped emotionally too!

Oh my gosh so funny because you said "breaking bread" and the baby in the back raised their hand like "Amen"😋. You're probably the friend everyone loves to have. nice video. thanks for the ideas.

Cash is king!😃My Nigerian friends prefer cash for weddings, birthdays, and major holidays😂😂😂. Sweet picture of your family.😀

No Debt But Love that is such a sensible tradition! Jewish families often gift in increments of $18 (a significant number in Jewish numerology) and I love knowing other folks who do similar. Thank you for sharing and thank you for the complement. Sometimes a sweet memory is better than the material things.

Thank you! I thank my lucky stars we've been able to buy. While on vacation, we even heard from a location scout about filming at our rental. I'll keep you posted on that unexpected and very exciting income opportunity! Could hardly believe it!
