You gave the Angry Sun some love by giving it a unique use. This makes me happy. The two best power ups to me are the Fire Flower and the Master Sword. The Fire Flower can complement almost any kind of level no matter what style, and the Master Sword for being as game changing as they come.

Arrowstotle It’s because of how bad their AI is. In the original SMB3, the angry sun would try to swoop down you, ascend around the area where you’re currently standing. However, in SMM2, the angry sun just swoops to the left or the right side of the screen, removing most of the challenge that there once was to it.

Thanks for using my level in your video Arrowstotle! And a really cool collection of ideas, great video! For those that try out my level (573-JX4-PDG Frozen Dry Bones Wasteland ), know that it gets progressively harder and the clear-rate is kind of deceiving due to the many reset doors I put in the level. It's a difficult level but I hope it's a pleasant experience for anyone that's interested in putting in the time to learn its tricks! Tip for dry bones platforming: Don't hold right when you land. You'll risk "bobbing" and missing your jump. You can start holding right again after you jump. Good luck! Final note: The first two levels I made are really hard and not as good. I've got one relatively easy more traditional level called "Icicle Juice" which I think is really fun to play. And a pretty cool puzzle level called "Induced Gravity". Hope you'll consider checking them out ^_^ Working on two new levels I hope to release soon (a link kaizo icicle mash-up and an easier icicle red coin level that will have alternate faster but more difficult paths for speed runners.)

I've always wanted to make a level with the main mechanic as flying, but Im having a hard time making it unique. Maybe the Tanuki Leaf and Super Feather are better off as puzzle mechanics.

I HAVE AN IDEA! If we use the fire flower in a boss idea we can put Bowser or any other enemy on a moving platform or tracks! And then the player can jump between semi-solids so they can shoot fireballs through a clear pipe or a hole (since fireballs burn out and disappear when they get shot through a hole maybe use the super ball in the Super Mario Bros CLASSIC retro style)! This will allow us to make a challenging boss fight where a durable enemy (or Bowser) shoots stuff at us for us to dodge while we shoot the enemy with our own projectiles until we get a key and escape the brutal boss room!

I apologize if this sounds rude, but I vastly prefer these tips over Ceave's. Not only does this guy upload more often, but I appreciate that he's serious and straight to the point. I also feel like these tips better suit me as a Maker because I'm not interested in complicated P-switch timers, code systems, global ground mechanics, etc. This guy makes fresh, complicated puzzles without losing my interest. So thanks for reviving my love for the game, man! Again, I apologize if this sounds like I'm insulting Ceave - I really love the guy, it's just his new style isn't for me.
