like the idea with the magnets , going to copy it on my mill one small misstake you made though , you made the cable a little short as the quill extends down you quickly come to the end of the slack in the cable thinking on using one of those curly headphone cords on mine

+Tom's Dreamshop Worx Lol... it should work just as well for a drill press as long as you have a mounting area area quill. Mine unfortunately does not. Thanks for watching bud
