Thank you for watching another episode of Chasing Leadville 100 - as this video posts, we are 19 days out from toeing the line…. WOW. The weeks have blown by. If you’re new to the series, make sure you go back and watch the previous videos!

I am 47 years old and am just now stepping beyond 5K/10K races. My goal is to get a 50 miler by the time I’m 50. Possibly even a 100. After watching this video, I can see where I am not being very efficient. Especially Point #5. That one hit me hard. I tend to fall into that category. I appreciate you pointing that out and will continue with a different perspective. Thank you for your service and I’m sure you will crush Leadville.

I fell in love with running this year! I've been a weight lifter for 8 years (started lifting after I had my fourth child when I was 29) I did a lot of 5k races with my family. But this year was the first time I realized I didn't have to hurt myself to run fast, I could "run slow" and still lift! I found your channel a month ago, and I was inspired to sign up for a half marathon (a 5k race we do as a family every year, but they have a 10k half and full too) my kids have been training with me, on their bikes, and my husband is doing the half with me. Thanks for the inspiration that a lifter can run too. Also, I was inspired by the video where you ran with a bunch of ladies and said some were moms who even had to pump during their run. Such a good message, Moms can lift and run too! Thank you for making good wholesome content! -Amy Swift

Oh my goodness, running with kiddos is life goals right there!! Way to get after it + inspire your young ones to do the same! I 1000% agree - we are all capable, regardless of the obstacles in our way! ❤

I guess I found your channel because I watch a video with Nate running the Leadville 100. Your very inspiring. I (Kelley) about to be 54 and I signed up to run a 5K in a few weeks in Mexico. Not much time to prepare lol but I do a lot of high intensity workouts. I also just got my Freestyle Spin certification to teach at my Gym. I ran cross county in High School but my parents didn't like me doing sports so I had to stop. I do love to run and find it easier than most to do. I did run a 10k cross country with a friend 9 years ago. We had to carry a 20lb sand back between us. I usually hike by myself cause no one wants to hike with me cause I usually do 10-18 miles at a time. Glad I found your channel and hopefully get more inspired.

Love your content! I actually just started running a little bit as part of my weight loss regime. I realized that the greatest benefit is the feeling...I feel a bit euphoric when I get into a good rhythm. I am also in a very happy mood and have a ton of mental clarity. That feeling is what I look forward to everyday. These videos are so inspiring and I am learning some great tips from you as I being introduced to this sport

Great insights!! Can you do a video on running sport bras/shorts you recommend? Would love some recommendations. A lot of brands on social I see are more gym oriented as opposed to running trails.

Thank you so much for all this great info! I’m just getting back into running and got so tired to hearing that weight training would only slow me down. It will stop me from getting injured! And it feels good to be strong 😁

Thank you for recommending walking as opposed to slow jogging between speed intervals. So many runners feel like if you’re not running, you’re not training, but I definitely subscribe to the rest hard to train hard mentality. 🩵

I have been using the Runna app for my first half marathon training. It has 2 speed sessions twice a week every week (4 runs total). I am thinking on manually trading one out for an easy run as I am dead every week. After watching this I am now thinking one may be enough. Also I love your videos and you inspire me to push myself at my own rate.
