I fought cancer twice last year. Two surgeries. The 1st for kidney cancer and the 2nd for skin cancer on my chest. The skin cancer surgery was really minor with a 2 week recovery. The kidney surgery was far more challenging. While I'm far from an endurance athlete, I've recovered from the kidney removal last Sept and am back to running 10 miles a week and lifting for 6 hours per week. I have a lot of respect for this individual's accomplishments.

What a great podcast, fascinating story from Amanda. I am always impressed by Mikes ability to show support for things like her racing fee. For those who are military veterans it is always shocking to hear military members who join the enlisted side with a college degree, it sounds like she was a perfect fit based on where she was planted.

Mike. You are the best! I knew a lady that was sent home to die from cancer in a wheelchair. She had 2 forms of brain cancer. Couldn't walk or talk. She would run by that doctor's house a year later for 10 years and not one of the medical professionals that sent her home to die ever asked her how she did it! She would run from the back of the autotorium to the stage to do her talks just to prove she could!

Amazing human, who is an inspiration and has mission focus to overcome adversity. Awesome MikeForce is covering the remaining minium for charitable amount, to meet race requirement. As a cancer patient, Astrocytoma brain tumor since 2002, with 3x surgeries (2021 most recent)...i can attest to the unfortunate level of speciatly care while active duty. Before retirement, my last annual check appt, the neurosurgeon actually reviewed the qrong chart of someone else and rattlingly off incorrect info. Fortunate fmto have my civilian specialist and care of Duke's Brain Cancer Ctr. Remission is not in my future, only when for next surgery and/or treatment, but mindset is everything to keep pressing forward. Wishing you the best on your race Amanda...

I just finished chemotherapy and radiation last Friday for brain cancer. My tumor was found at the VA in Salt Lake City while I was in pre operation for hip replacement surgery. Thank god for the Huntsman Cancer center at the University of Utah.
