Aaron Gordon did not deserve to be an all star with all due respect. Just because he was on the best team putting up solid numbers doesn’t automatically mean he should’ve been an all star. If that were the case, then Jamal Murray should’ve been considered before him. And though the Jazz may have only been the 12th seed, Markkanen had the breakout year that people were waiting on and because of that, he deserved his selection.

Great video and there’s honestly so many strange NBA award choices and snubs. Here’s a few in my opinion. -1990 MVP Magic over MJ -1999 MVP Karl Malone over Shaq or Tim Duncan -2006 MVP Steve Nash over Kobe -Weird one but I think the 1971 All Star MVP should have been shared between Lenny Wilkens and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Kareem being a 19X all star and winning 0 All Star MVPs is kinda crazy -Damn near any and every DPOY not going to Tim Duncan during his career. Him having 15 All-Defensive selections and 0 awards is wild (2003, 04, 07 or 2012 could have been his year)

About the 2020 NBA Finals, I don't think the "Mickey Mouse ring" rhetoric would exist if any other star player won that title (other than KD). I think if the Nuggets, Sixers, Warriors, Clippers, or even the Blazers won it, I don't think it gets downplayed as much as it does. I think a lot of the issue is that there are people who feel like the only way to try to prove that Jordan's still the GOAT is to belittle as many of LeBron's accomplishments as possible (such as putting an asterisk on the 2020 championship or singling out one bad game) instead of trying to prove Jordan's case.

Idk if I agree with the GM argument. Monty McNair won it this year with the Kings and they got bounced in the first round. There's a reason it's based on season performance and not playoffs. A GM can make or break a season; they set the tone and dictate the culture just as much, if not more, than stars or coaches. And saying Pat Riley deserves it more than Gar Foreman because they knocked the Bulls out is silly; the awardees are named before the playoffs even begin.
