The police are trying to gather evidence following the murders of eight people in two separate shootings in Khayelitsha. They believe the killings are linked but they are yet to discover the motive. Newzroom Afrika’s Yazeed Kamaldien has more.

I was having a discussion with one lady online about the crime levels in Cape Townships like Delft and Harare a day or two back. Ironically this happens now on TV. South Africans must not be fooled that shootings are closed off to KZN areas. Top 10 police stations that see murder cases in the SAPS Stats show that 6 places are in WC and 2 in KZN and 1 in GP. We are all suffering from lawlessness the same guys and we need to be safe
