Been watching a ton of photography mistake videos and everyone uses the same mistakes over and over again, so I decided to make my own with some photography mistakes that I don't think anyone has covered yet.... besides shooting in Jpeg lol but were you guilty of any of these?? I know I sometimes forget the last one!

Good info. I am definitely guilty of photoPhishing, but am also somewhat new ish when it comes to portraits. I am also guilty of not having a preset. My wife and I have had discussions about this and she has convinced me that it is smart to save my preset. That being said, I like to think that my editing style is consistent. I use your “Lightroom” tutorials as a guide, but generally my edits resemble my view through my sunglasses, that offer a little HDR look to my world. Good info that I will consider every time I go out to shoot.

Hahhaha we are all guilty of photo fishing!!! I mean I used to shoot on a 1dx lol thats basically commercial photo phishing hahaha Happy to see you are taking those steps my man!!! Cant wait to see what you create!!

yay another sawyer Video! i’ve just moved and been meaning to get back into photography! and i think this will help (ps i miss your videos)(pps i still use the first preset set i bought that i could afford :p ) but my fave is still “35 mm film look” and “ultimate street photography” but one day ima get that leica present :p

I used the Leica Looks - Portra 400 preset for EVERYTHING!! But me too, i've been meaning to get back into photography so lets hold each other accountable!! You take your camera with you, and I will keep posting videos to help you master your craft!!

Ohhh man I can relate to that RAW file mistake. I recently went on a 6 day hike thinking my camera was set to RAW, instead it was in Jpeg. I lost sooo many potential good images

I don't understand a lot of this advice, i use 800 or 1600 speed film, is that an ok format? You also talk about saving the original, who would throw away their negatives? Is that really something people do? Some good compositional advice though, gotta try different angles!

Try using a lavalier microphone and a portable recorder, then mix the sound with your video. Sound would be much better. Thanks for the Tips/Mistakes, very helpful.

Your videos are so inspiring and educational. I am a photographer who do not have a digital camera but I use my iPhone 11 to take pictures. You might be thinking what in the world?
