There was a mini hawker centre next to a big tree outside the old national library. I ate fish ball noodles there quite often. Then I would also loiter in MPH nearby

Can we get the architects to retrieve architectural materials and rebuild the Van Kleef Aquarium?It is one of those free entrance, nostalgic 60's and 70's childhood places that is truly, genuinely lovely, humble, dark and relaxing places I popped into with my family.Really a precious, national relic!!!!!!

There is another iconic Big Splash equivalent in Jurong area. I don't know the spelling but it is something like misubishi gardens. I went there twice. Ironically I didn't go to Big Splash. I did have a camp unit family day at Big Splash

Ok I found out it's correct spelling. It was Mitsukoshi Garden. Located at the Jurong side.

Long ago at Geylang Bahru, there was a cinema. I think it was called wen hua cinema. Then there was a KFC too. Above the KFC was a pretty big arcade that housed traditional coins operated machines like space invaders, frogger, after burner, and one for four players car racing sitting in a square.

saddest was the National Library...they could have tunneled under the library instead of demolishing it since it is only a low rise building

Why?
@SuccessforLifester
@SuccessforLifester 5 жыл бұрын
@@cristianoronaldo1856 The quality is very low. And it hardly felt like you are in a volcanic eruption. If I could remember, we walked through a series of decors and ended at this place with a big screen and a ground that could move. We were treated to a volcanic eruption scene and then the ground moved. After the thing ended, I was actually feeling embarrassed among the tourists, that we offered such a sub standard attraction. Sentosa started to improve only after Universal Studio and resort world were brought in.
