I just finished Unity yesterday, and I’m shocked how good the game was. I still have the DLC to finish, but it’s a great game now. The parkour is the best of any of them.

I worked on the unity project, remember that this was one of the first games made for ps4, was hard to implement and the backlash at launch because of that was massive then. And unfortunately it could not be delayed because of signed agreements with sony to have it at ps4 launch. Still play the coop maps from time to time as those were my part of the project.

This is one of those games that came out before the ps5 yet literally looked like a ps5 game 6 years before the ps5 even came out that absolutely insane. It goes to show if all developers pushed the PS4 hardware to its limit like certain games did like assassins Creed unity assassins Creed Odyssey far cry five red dead redemption two the last of us too these are games that look even still bettter then games we get in 2024 on ps5 and that’s absolutely crazy the PS4 had ps5 capabilities. It just needed the developers to really push it

Pretty sure lots of lighting was pre-baked, which took load off the hardware. These days everything has to be dynamic, while at the same time often looking worse and performing terribly. Also attention to detail seems far more superior than their 'AAAA' games today. This only shows art direction is still the king when it comes to visuals over just raw tech.

I agree every single point mentioned in your video, this game is truly amazing especially for its age! I replayed it recently on my ps5 and oled tv and i was blown away about how great it looked especially the lights and reflections (almost as if it was developed in HDR) The parkour is the most flawless and elegant, the fights are the most impactful and “realistic” and the atmosphere is superb! So sad that Ubisoft decided to suck from one day to another :(

Unity is my favorite, my most recent played game was the origins one which was awesome and I love the change of scenery, however there’s something about it that doesn’t feel assassin like. It doesn’t feel right to play stealth and the parkour isn’t so great. I really do enjoy stealth games and unity did the job perfectly.

just finished tis and the dead kings dlc.... yeah parkour and the open world is great but the STORY hooked me all the way even tho it's still buggy AF.... the motion capture amazing also... this game made the AC RPG game's story and animations looked like a high school project.... looking forward to play SYNDICATE and AC3...

For me,the best combat in the series is and always will belong to AC3, that game's combat is absolutely awesome But parkour? Nothing can match unity, if only Ubisoft made a ac game that have unity parkour combined with ezio trilogy parkour system, Unity's animation and system with freedom of movement from ezio trilogy, that would've been perfect parkour system I wish modder get there and improve parkour system or even give us map mod or something Unity with be the best one

calling cyberpunk mediocre and garbage yet rating an assassins creed game as "insane". whats insane is the amount of garbage repetitive crap you do in every single one of these games "follow this man until he stops, follow this man and steal something from him" assassins creed is one of the worst franchises that exist in gaming history with its repetitive gameplay in every game they release. instead of making a fun game, since only 10 percent of the game actually includes something unique and enjoyable, they give you a crappy mission since the budget for these games are so horrendous. yet they have the audacity to charge 100 dollars plus for this garbage. every time they make a new game. dont get me started of that heap of crap they call origins. I went back to this a few months ago and just couldn’t get over how poor the draw distances are and how bad the pop ins are… those alone made it difficult to play through again, shame,because when I played this originally I don’t remember noticing them as badly as they are today. Edit: Oh and don’t get me started on how bad the textures are on the bloody weapons…

FYI: It's still a buggy mess with constant crashes. Can't even go higher in graphics settings than medium on a 1660 Super, or it'll crash. Every second assassination = crash... that is if you can even fight your way through driver settings and messing with config files to be able to launch it. Also, the "sheer amount of customization" in terms of things that matter; skills, is about 6 or 7, useful ones and another ~5 that no one would ever even consider picking up.
