I've been dashing in Sacramento for 3 weeks 4 to 5 days a week usually in the evenings. The worst offenders in Sacramento California or Chipotle, they're straight-up notorious for half hour waits. A vendor called - Mart Oh, They'll have you waiting up to an hour. The McDonald's Taco Bells and normal major fast-food chains are alright in Sac. You're absolutely right about all the major restaurant chains. I would have to add that in addition to looking out for those pickups avoiding any drop offs to the Amazon hubs. The people that work at Amazon are super entitled and have this feeling like oh I'll just run out. The parking lots are huge and full of speed bumps and a customers usually take 10 minutes or more to come out and I swear I don't think I've gotten one tip out of any of them.

Also McDonald's! Packaging ice cream in the same sealed bag with several hot combos. Then the customer rates you bad because the ice cream is melted.

This is going to depend on the McDonald's store you are going to. I went to a ghetto McDonald's, not only were they slow, I watched the girl who got the drinks ready place them in the double drink carrier, put that dead center in the bag and then a couple minutes later, the older lady who put the food together in it's bag walked over looked in the delivery bag, set the food directly on top of the drinks, then sealed the bag (poorly)! Not even joking. I opened it, rearranged it and sealed it. Gave them a thumbs down. Went to another McDonald's, they gave me the food in the bag and the milkshake and mcflurries in a separate drink carrier.

I agree but my Wingstop has typically started on the order when I get there. I think I usually get orders that just hit the system and they just started the order because it was just placed. I think in my market, people tip well for Wingstop so they don't get cycled around too much before a dasher accepts it.

Stay away from Popeyes Chicken in Buena Park California. Their lobby was closed causing a huge traffic jam at the drive thru. Ends up the customer was never informed that their order was cancelled after 30 minutes of waiting. I agree with Buffalo Wild Wings. They let one of their orders get stolen by someone and it had to be remade, wasting more time for delivery.

I accept McD's orders from customers who tip. You can deduce if the customer's tipping or not: order amount - Doordash base pay amount - Doordash peak pay amount, if any = projected customer tip. If that amount is below $2-3, I'll decline the order.

Nice video. I don't have a few of the restaurants that you mentioned in my market (Missoula, MT): Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Changs, and California Pizza Kitchen. Thus, I haven't dashed to them. I haven't dashed to the Buffalo Wild Wings in town. The Red Robin just closed and filed for bankruptcy. The Chick Fil A outlet here is EXCELLENT! -- undoubtedly the most well-managed fast food restaurant in town. 5 Guys and Taco Bell are consistently good here. They also prepare their orders in advance of the delivery driver's arrival. The only restaurant that I have on my current "black list" is Popeye's.

I haven't been doing Door Dash very long, but I've done four Buffalo Wild Wings orders and every one has made me late on delivery. I did a 2 item order on a Sunday night around 10:30. They only had two customers in there and I still had to wait 20-25 min. The only way I'm ever accepting another one is if the money is insane.

Really, there's no universal list to avoid, you have to know your market and the restaurants(and managers) to avoid. I know places where certain managers put the whole place behind but others have orders done quickly(wingstop). It's the compensation to time ratio that is my main guide.

Wendy’s is the worst along with McDonalds because they put every last thing in a bag and seal it shut. I have no control over the order. I can’t prevent it from shifting or putting the drink in a cold hold. American Deli is my favorite. Always ready and they always include everything.

Taco Bell in my area is terrible. First of all, I do not understand their menu because neither English or Spanish is my first language. A few months ago, I have to place orders in Taco Bell, they input items correct, charge correct amount, but missing foods when gave me. It's not accidentally, I caught them 3 times, customers called me twice. There were at least 5 times out of my 9 orders were missing items. Ttropical smoothie cafe. Which put foods and drinks in two area. Sometimes I got the drinks at grip (1,-1), but found foods at grip (3,-2) [think about axis]. Also, there was one time that they didn't make smoothie within 1.5 hours, even I was there and keep asking them.

Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom is another place I usually avoid. They are super friendly and usually give you a drink while you wait. The problem, like several you mentioned in the video, is that they won't start making the food till you get there. And this is not fast food, so it takes a while.

Hooters in Arlington, and Chick Fil A, next to it are both really slow. I've had 30-45 minutes wait time at Hooters every time, and 15=20 minutes at Chick Fil A, even during slower hours. So if I have a 6-7 dollar order, after gas, and time, it can be way less than minimum wage to accept these orders.

Ihop, Denny’s are super slow in my area Streetsboro Ohio. Also I’m about to add and hate to say this Chipotle they were always on top of their game. But lately last few weeks it seems they are now not making the orders and having them ready until the given pickup by time. I’m reluctant to do so because I do get them frequently and a lot of stacked batches. Which even now I’m waiting for the stacked batches. I’ve actually left the one chipotle to deliver the food and went back to get the other two I accepted while walking in for the 1st order. Another time I just left and reassigned because the order still wasn’t ready 8 minutes past my pickup by time. chipotle really starting to kill me.

I'm from Texas. And the restaurant I had the worst experiences are the Wingstops. There are a total of two of them in the city I live in. There's one by Chili's that always takes FOREVER just to get the door dash order ready. They never have the order ready every time I arrive and they always make me wait 15 minutes or more. I got sick of it and just stopped going to that one Wingstop restaurant. One time they took so long, I just straight up cancelled the delivery while I was in the restaurant and walked right out without the customer's order without saying anything. It's been almost two months since the last time I went to that Wingstop. Whenever I see an order from the Wingstop by Chili's, I decline it. I refuse to pick up an order from that one no matter how high the pay is.

BWW, most Red Robins, and CPK here in the Western Burbs of Chicago are fairly quick even when busy. Five Guys here often has food almost or completely done when I arrive and often offer me a free drink. Chik Fil A starts when I arrive and I get lots of orders for them. I often use this time to use the restroom. I just leave my bag at the counter. Generally, my order is done when I return. In my area, I avoid Steak n Shake, Denny's, and Outback,

If any new Dashers in West MI read this beware of the Rivertown Crossings mega mall, Many national chains located there and parking is a nightmare and the food court is on the 2nd floor and you will waste an hour because of the long walks. It will be a Wilson ave address. I learned the hard way.

As a customer, the only time I get mad is if the app tells me that the dasher has picked up my order, and 15 minutes later I look at the app map and see the driver is still at the restaurant. This has happened to me 3 times with the same dasher and from the same restaurant. Haven't had any issues with other dashers doing this to me.

Heads up about Buffalo Wild Wings - They recently rolled out a Dasher rating on their end. They rate you on multiple different levels. 1-5 scale. I've got close with people there, and they let me know. I'm guessing it's built into their restaurant side of the app. Which makes me assume that restaurants can now rate us. I was told this just the other week. Keep this in mind!

I Dash in Oklahoma. I love Whataburger, but I always refuse DD orders for WB because you have to place the order, pay with the Red Card, then wait. Too many menu options, too many things for them to screw up, and too much chance you'll get a bad rating. Also, the payout is often too small as well.

Add to that the fact that it's positioned on the main strip with no back way out and will take another 5 to 10 minutes to get out if I have to turn left (the order is always going left) without getting t-boned.

Here's my feedback in my area (Richmond, VA): Cheesecake Factory: I haven't dashed for them, but they are slow everywhere (just based as a customer). Taco Bell: Depends if they are busy. I use the drive-thru, and it is usually not too bad. Buffalo Wild Wings: Definitely slow, and I have had many problems there too, including them running out of wings (how does that even happen?). I also avoid them no matter what the payout is. To be fair, I have only dashed for one of their stores before. PF Changs: I haven't dashed for them, no feedback. Red Robin: Depends. It can be slow sometimes. but they do double-check the orders, which I appreciate. I noticed that my Red Robin only gives fries to Door Dash and not Grub Hub =). I also like that they usually have an employee specifically for take out orders. Chik-Fil-A: Depends. I avoid them at peak times, but if you check in with someone quickly, it is usually fairly reasonable. I also always click that I have arrived before I even park. Five Guys: Depends. A little slow, but not too bad usually. I usually have to wait for a little while if they have fries. California Pizza Kitchen: I haven't dashed for them, no feedback. Some restaurants are managed and staffed better than others. For example, some of my Friday's are ridiculously slow, and some are pretty reasonable. The same goes for Applebees. I would add Cracker Barrel to the list too. I agree that the payouts for the ones I know will be slower would have to be higher for me to take them.

Red Robin is definitely the slowest. Whenever I get an order for there I never rush to the store because I always end up waiting at least 10 minutes, sometimes 15-20. I was surprised you didn't mention Hooters - they're alway slow, even if the restaurant is dead. I don't know why people order Hooters to be delivered - it's like Walmart brand quality microwave food. Yuck. I don't mind CFA orders, but it seems like most CFA customer don't tip so those runs are never worth it anymore. McDonald's is probably the absolute worst. Nothing but imbeciles and morons working there. They'll put cold food and hot food in the same bag. WTF!?

For real, the last time I waited at a hooters on GH, I was there OVER AN HOUR and in spite of a cluster fuck in the line, TWO doordashers still got their food, in out ten minutes. Five Guys may be a bit of a wait as they make the food but at least it's already ordered and paid for. Places like Wendy's, Taco Bell and KFC you have to wait in line to order it and then wait for it to be made. Plus with Wendy's you have to use the drive through which can be an even longer wait.

In the eastern region of Conneticut is slow with family owned businesses only because orders are placed but not enough dashers in my area to take orders,so they wait till a dasher arrives for the order then to be placed aggh

I kind of thought that doordash wouldn't allow people to make orders that requires you to take a tollbooth. But nope, I've gotten orders that required the toll sense there's one only ten minutes away from me. Either I pay the toll and get their in ten minutes (have to pay twice sense I have to go home too) or I avoid it and take thirty minutes, the customer gets upset and I waste half a tank of gas for ten bucks. I honestly didn't think doordash would do that, but apparently they do

Chick-fil-A usually has my food ready when I arrived on the shelf, taco bell is fast, Miller's steak house and some McDonald's are great in Orlando. The worst are Ihop, Wingstop, some Denny's, cheesecake factory, some checkers locations, and Juniors Columbian burgers especially on idrive are the worst in Orlando.

I’ve been doing DoorDash for a little over a year. I usually go on Friday nights after work and Saturday evenings/nights. I started in the Rockwall, TX area, then moved a bit west and now do it in the Arlington, TX area (particularly south Arlington). I’d have to agree with many of these from my experience, but not all. Here’s my experience based on the areas I’ve worked in: 1. The Cheesecake Factory - There isn’t one in the Rockwall area, but there is one in south Arlington. I usually don’t have long waits there. I’ll pick those orders up most of the time (so long as the pay is worthwhile). I have had a few long waits, but the longest was maybe 7-10 minutes. 2. Taco Bell - I used to get tons of these orders in the Rockwall area, and I would usually take them because the two stores that I would get orders from would actually have the food ready when I arrived most of the time, AND they would even let you walk into the store after 9:00PM-HUGE plus to those locations. Now that I usually Dash in south Arlington, I don’t get as many orders from there. But I can tell you that after 9:00PM I’m avoiding any drive-thru restaurant like the plague since they all lock the doors and force you to use the drive-thru after then. 3. Buffalo Wild Wings - This one is really hit or miss for me, and seems to vary a lot by the location. The one in Rockwall I only picked up from a few times, and I honestly don’t recall the wait time. The two that I’ve picked up from in south Arlington are often slow, but one is MUCH, MUCH worse than the other. One consistently has wait times of 15+ minutes, while the other will sometimes have the food ready upon arrival, and sometimes make you wait 5-7 minutes. So I’ll take orders from that second one sometimes. 4. P. F. Chang’s - There isn’t one in the Rockwall area, but there is one in the south Arlington area. I often avoid them. They very rarely have an order ready when you arrive, and you’re likely to have to wait 15+ minutes. 5. Red Robin - There isn’t one in the Rockwall area, but there is one in the south Arlington area. I’ve only picked up there twice, I believe. First time the food was ready upon arrival. Second time I had to wait less than 5 minutes. So I don’t really have any issues picking up from there, but then again I have a very small sample size. 6. There was a Chic-fil-A in the Rockwall area and in the south Arlington area, and I’ve even picked up from other Chic-fil-A’s in surrounding areas when an order took me out of south Arlington. I’ve rarely had long waits at any of them. I readily accept their orders. Roughly 2 out of every 3 times, the food is already waiting for me when I arrive. 7. Five Guys - There isn’t one in the Rockwall area, but there is in the south Arlington area. I’ve picked up exactly one order from them. And it was pretty much like what you said: food wasn’t even started until you arrived and you have to wait like 10 minutes at least. What was even worse is that there was no one else even there. Just me and the employees. I will be avoiding orders from them going forward. 8. California Pizza Kitchen - Neither of the areas I’ve commonly worked in have that restaurant, so I can’t weigh in, as I’ve never picked up from there. If anyone happens to be reading this that does DoorDash deliveries in the south Arlington area, here are some places to avoid (just in case you didn’t already know): 1. Pluckers - I swear to God, they must not start orders until you arrive, or even 10 minutes after that. I know they’re always super busy, but they shouldn’t be calling for Dashers WAY before the food is ready. I’ve talked to other gig-service delivery drivers who were waiting there too and we’ve all had the same, consistent experience there. I refuse to take their orders anymore. 2. Burger Street - Busy or not, you’re going to wait at least 10 minutes. They also have a drive-thru, so after 9:00PM, it’s drive-thru only. 3. Steak ‘n’ Shake - They actually keep the inside open pretty much all night, which was surprising and can shorten your wait time if you’re lucky enough to have the food ready or almost ready when you arrive. But the food is rarely ready when you arrive, and the wait time is usually 10+ minutes. 4. Wing Stop - There are a lot of locations in the Arlington area and at least two in the Rockwall area. The wait time wasn’t usually too bad in the Rockwall ones, and sometimes the food was ready when I got there. But the ones in the Arlington area…. Holy hell. Almost all of them should be avoided. Some aren’t too bad, but expect a wait most times. Even the ones in Grand Prairie are going to make you wait awhile. And the absolute worst location is the one that is take-out only on South Cooper Street. I’ve had to wait there a few times where it was 25+ minutes, and once I waited around 35 minutes. I was pissed. They are another chain that needs to stop calling for Dashers before the food is ready. It’s beyond ridiculous, and it’s infuriating. Needless to say, I pretty much reject their orders outright. 5. Chuy’s - They are roughly 50/50. Sometimes the food is ready when you arrive, other times you’re going to wait. The bad part is that when you have to wait, it’s usually 10-15 minutes. So I tend to avoid them now. 6. Dog Haus - Almost always have to wait around 10-15 minutes for the order to be finished. Even though the place is never busy. 7. McDonald’s - This goes for any area, in my experience. Even when they have the doors unlocked so you can go in, the food is often not ready and you’re going to wait 10 or so minutes. This has been especially true for me in the south Arlington area. So I tend to avoid their orders. I once had to wait over 30 minutes at a McDonald’s once because they seemed to be dead-set on completely ignoring the in-store customers. They saw us, but then refused to acknowledge us. And there were like 8-10 of us total just standing there waiting for help. I did get lucky with one location that had little-to-no wait time in the drive-thru and the food was ready when I arrived, and I had THREE orders in a row from them, each was quick and easy. That was a rare experience, though. 8. Whataburger - I never got any orders from the one in the Rockwall area, but I’ve gotten a few from two locations in: one in the Grand Prairie area and one in the south Arlington area. Both are terrible. I waited over 30 minutes at one for an order, and over 20 minutes at the other. I did get lucky one time and have the food ready in a few minutes once, but after those two long, long waits, and seeing how they operate, I do not accept their orders anymore. 9. IHOP - I rarely got orders from there when I was in the Rockwall area, but I’ve gotten multiple in the south Arlington area. The location I usually get orders from is near the mall off Interstate 20. The food is almost never ready when you get there, and the wait is normally 20+ minutes. Once or twice I got lucky and had the food ready when I arrived, but I still avoid orders from there. That’s all I can think of off the top of my head, but I’m sure I’m missing a couple more. Sorry for the novel, but these are some things I wish I could have had someone tell me before I started Dashing, especially in the south Arlington area.

I dont usually have problems with Buffalo Wild Wings on the wait. But some of the restaurants I avoid are Dairy Queen they will not start the order until I arrive and they push my order to the bottom of the make line. Ive heard the employees say " they're just gonna have to wait!" And The wait can be very long. I wont accept Papa johns either...A) they have their own delivery service B) they also wait until I arrive at the store to start the order C) they make sign for the order. Ive waited over 30 minutes for an order from them. Last but not least I try not take accept walmart orders. You literally have no clue what you're picking up until you arrive at the store. People will order an entire month of groceries and sometimes im waiting 30 minutes or more for the associates to bring the order to my car. Base pay is terrible and most of the time if there's no pre-tip there isnt going to be a tip. Sometimes though the tip is worth the trouble. But doordash trying to assign me a stacked order from Walmart with 5 separate orders is BS that means every single one of those 5 orders is a zero tip.

Pisses me off that a lot of restaurants really loved DD during the height of the pandemic but now that customers have returned they tend to ignore DD orders or prioritize their in-store diners causing large wait times. I have had to add a couple to my blacklist as a result. And yes, your list is pretty similar to mine. CA pizza is worse, Chik-fil-a too (good staff, just too damned busy most of the time.)

Johnathan, I am new. - delivering wit DD for 1 week only. 1. Why I don't see the whole address where I suppose to deliver and the program make me stop far before the address? 2. Also, they do not give me the exact address, when they make me stop and I am stopped, they suddenly told me the final address and I have already the bag with thee food in my hands and I just walk. Let say they make me stop at 2009 but the actual address is on 2015. 3.. Also the people on "HELP" have extremely bad accent and talk too fast. They are not also very smart, they endlessly repeat all the wording from my question and etc... Even I ask them to drop that courtesy, they keep taking my time away. 4. DO they put the directions and addresses? 5. I had direction to pick up food, when the program told me to stop just at the CROSS ROAD. So I had to pass the crossroad, stop and leave the car to look around to see where is Chipotle. After that to make u turn and enter the parking on the right. I believe I should have all the time the address where I'm going on the TOP of my screen. 6. Also I hear two voices about the directions. Obviously my Maps and the Doordash Maps are fighting. I am in the western Chicago suburbs. National chains I usually have the longest wait at are Panda Express, Millers Ale House (really bad), On the Border, Chili's (and takes forever to get noticed at the to-go area at all locations I've been to), Red Lobster, 5 Guys, California Pizza Kitchen and CFA. I avoid all red card orders so not sure about Taco Bell, etc. Surprisingly, I've never waited at a BWW and I frequent about 5 different locations.

I get a shit ton of chic filet bs $3.00 orders. I will say they have their act together n a special place to park. That is after I’ve waited for 10 min trying to actually get in the parking lot! It’s totally insane but they are always super nice n quick w food even only they would open up a lane that is roped off w cones for ppl to drive around. Most places dont make the food until you get there because sometimes no one shows up for an order so the store doesnt want to waste food. Yes, fast food throws away the food at the end of the night anyway but sometimes they run out of a certain food because it was used for a delivery order. I am a doordash driver but I also used to work in fast food so I know how both ends work. Food workers in general are tired of everyone's bs so if you are kind and understanding you'll get your order a lot faster.

Good list. Denny's and IHOP. Sometimes Blaze Pizza. But that is with most pizza places as pizza takes time and APP doesn't allocate enough time for pickup. Don't get orders from Cheesecake Factory anymore. Think I was low rated by them because the last time I was there I kept telling them the dessert wasn't in the order and they kept telling me it was. Not a pleasant staff because we get the tips. Not missed at all.

ChickFila is not on DD in my market Dashers have priority in my area now at most restaurants. Now the only ones that are super slow is IHOP they never have kitchen employees and Logan's Roadhouse as they don't watch their tablet or know where it is half the time so dd has to call the orders in, KFC they never have any chicken cooked you ALWAYS have to wait no matter when you go, and Popeyes they act like they don't want to work there and always make you wait for the heck of it then the order will be wrong. Restaurants that are on point: Wendy's, Panda Express, Buffalo Wild Wings and Cracker Barrel they even installed a to go shelf (after some coaching), Outback Steakhouse, Papa Johns, Raising Cane's, all sushi and Chinese restaurants, Church's Chicken, Taco Bell, Subway, and Chilis. This is in North Louisiana.

Chick fil a! The employees are always super nice to me though so I don't mind. I do not like Wendy's orders or any orders that come through that I have to place myself- it's always a longer wait. I've been getting grocery orders lately too and if it's under $10 for a grocery delivery, I don't accept it. One time I had a grocery order with 50+ bags of groceries! It almost didn't fit in my car LOL!!! Thankfully the customers were very nice and helpful and tipped me well. Wingstop is the worst for me. Always over a 20 min wait for food

Burger King, today I waited 35 minutes in line, then when I got to the window the order wasn’t ready and they asked me to GO THROUGH THE LINE AGAIN. I was supposed to have the order already delivered by the time I got to the window. I called the manager and made them bring it to me outside. Absolutely unacceptable customer service!!
