The honorable mention that pullers should use SEQ is pretty upsetting. Not that you included in the video, but that people are so brash and brazen about absolutely fucking cheating that they recommend it to others. I've played EQ legitimately for 20+ years and despise these people. If you want to know what mobs are in the zone, play a tracker. Maybe people wouldn't think so lowly of Rangers and Druids if cheaters didn't steal a class-core ability. It is incredibly frustrating that Darkpaw & the community has turned a blind eye to something that gives a massive advantage to people that choose to cheat.

I was playing a monk on the Agnarr server. My group and I were camping the docks down in the Hole when we wiped so I FD. I offered a cleric that was camping at a spot around the corner 100p to res the cleric in my group. This guy takes my plat and res my cleric and sees this as an opportunity to move his group into our camp at the docks. I asked him what he was doing and told him he couldn't have the camp but he just argued with me and said he was taking it. At that point I decide that would have to force him out of the spot. I started pulling every mob I could find on his group. I think they had like 6 golems on them when he finally said "please stop". I didn't stop until they were all dead.

I think the hard enforcement of Rule 1 and 2 on P99 is what ruined my P99 experience. Having a hard camp ruleset where you can get in trouble for taking mobs is brutal. They incentivize people who do not work or have anything else but to camp a mob generally green to them for hours upon hours while people who log in and try and find camps will be left out in the cold. Its a bad system, I much prefer TLPs where if you can control a camp, no one will bother you. But if you lose control of the camp or do not pick up thee mobs, people will move in. Also on live its a DPS race, there is no KSing, whoever does the dmg gets the kill, does it suck sometimes? Yes, but I find it more fair and equitable in the long run.

#1 I will kinda respect a "camp" but if someone isn't actively pulling or clearing said "Camp" they obviously cant control their own spawns by either A) Lack of levels/gear or B) Underskilled/Lazy. At what point do you "leave" a mob up for said "camp" 5min? 10min? 15min? an entire spawn cycle? See where I am going with this? This is why "claiming camps" isn't viable at all. 5-10min at most for me then the mob is up for grabs imo. #2 I will put this in the same category as #1 for myself, you can't control the camp you can't control the named, simple as that. If I keep wandering over and see multiple mobs I am going to engage everything (if I need Exp) or the named (if I see him pop). You are also splitting hairs with your description as well, "It is ok on raids but bad manner in solo/group scenarios". So basically doing a DPS race and battling 50v50 and possibly having 50 people waste their time to end up empty handed is fine but a small skirmish over something 1000% more trivial and only having a couple people end up with nothing is a cardinal sin. You are putting too much focus into " I was there first, its mine", these arent N`Sync concert tickets, just because you woke up earlier in your moms basement doesn't give you carte blanche over the best mob in the zone this is why for years the best rule is to battle it out over the mob itself and if you lose bring friends. Sorry you came from Project 99 and have a different mindset on the game where you need to push your own view on how the game should be played on TLP's where you probably had a bad experience on Thornblade and/or Mischief. I was once in the same boat as you when I first started playing on TLP's when RageFire/Lockjaw came out years ago then I understood while the game is somewhat the same, the mindset and the playerbase is 100% different than what it once was 15 years earlier . It is an adapt or move on playstyle, some people can adapt, some can't. If you can adapt thats great, its always nice to go with the flow and still enjoy the content with like minded others, if you can't I am sorry to say that is the same linear thinking that gets players stuck in Low ELO brackets in whatever competitive game they have tried in their lives and they end up pigeon holing themselves into solo/single player content while they mumble about how stuff isn't fair or this is imbalanced.

@kb65302 жыл бұрын
Well tipping was only for buffs .... if you ask for a bunch of high level buffs , you should tip them. But alot of people especially lower level people run by and buff you for free or without asking. But things are different in modern , they give you OP gear from the start, so you dont really need buffs untill maybe level 90 But back in the day gear didnt have crazy stat boost and getting buffs made a HUGE difference and a max level player could buff a lvl 1 character , which was super fun. Imo gloom deep mines and crescent reach was a horrible idea , makes it feel like a completely different game , and the loot given to you at the start is better than the ENTIRE loot table pre lvl 85 , as in the stuff you start with in crescent reach is WAY better than anything that can drop off world bosses and dragons , literally ruins 3/4 of the game.

Pulling for a group shouldn't involve any "eyes" or other external programs to be successful.. it's not like dungeons randomly change spawn locations (although maybe they should to make things interesting) . Pull LGuk or any Seb camp for 15 mins and you should have it memorized, pull VT once and you'll figure out where the spawn traps are (btw rogues are great for popping those pre-pull) Maybe things are different after Omens, or maybe today's players suffer too much ADHD to figure it out and need a cheat code to win.
