The added lore bits are a great addition to the video. The self hatred for playing on a classic server is still a mystery to me. I do know some of your suffering however, as I leveled a bard in 2000 to 50. He was a twink however, was still wearing the gear he had from 1 to 50 when I logged him in 3 years ago and started working on him again.

That's why I love p99. Most of the community is great. I once helped out someone with a CR in kurns on my iksar monk. Wde ended up leveling together for a couple days. Then told me he couldn't play for awhile from work. Lent me a fungi tunic and 3k Plat for a month. Barely knew me, but knew how much it would help. When he came back, wouldn't accept the Plat back. Told me it was my pay for taking care of his fungi.

On P99, when you zone into Highpass from Karanas there is Gnoll that hovers over the edge of a ledge on the top left that trains everything down.

Found your channel today, love this series! Makes we want to try playing p99 again. I tried it out a little before Velious release on Blue, ended up getting to 38 on a Magician before losing interest. Diving into p99 having never played EQ before was interesting for sure! I played mostly solo, watching this made me want to try a class with more group utility.

I think that's 1 area the TLPs do better. They nerfed all the best ways to solo & boosted group exp big time. I never felt like soloing on a tlp if I could avoid it.

I was lazy when it came to getting equipment. So I became the best haggler in WC. I turned a Glowing Black Stone into a full set of Lambent and a lot of other great gear in less then a week from just buying low and selling at a mark up of 15-25% of the purchase price. Good times.

I've played Bard for hundreds of hours on P99 blue and some TLP's, and just started a new one on green since they added the custom UI's which I find pretty darn integral to playing bard to its maximum without an overwhelming level of hassle, but I've NEVER seen the lay-on-hands hymn of restoration tick before... Maybe I'll get some on green...

The bandit sash’s are good xp in bulk. I used them to farm play on my warrior and would get about a bubble of exp at 21 for 16 Sash’s. So if you want to farm play while you level. Going there whenever you c an start soloing and turning them you can level up to 20. It’s not the fastest however it’s nice to be able to buy some gear if you’re knew to the sever. Specially as a warrior main 😂

Ahh yes, the little island that no one else knows about ^.0 By the time I started a bard PoP was already out. The sooner you get some good drums you can selo's around so fast. That with levitate and you can get your groups around cliffs and gaps. My first class was a warrior and I always had invisibility potions on me bwahahaha. I did the same thing when I played WoW for one long summer of battlegrounds.

P99 is separate emulation server. A couple guides on KZbin on how to set it up. For the Yelinak server that opens 5/25, most people just download the game off the EverQuest website & use the proprietary launcher.

In High Pass, at your low level - you were proximity aggro-ing the gnolls up top without invisible. Druids at > mid level take 4 mobs max (quadding) while bards swarm and steal the zone. I’ve had more beef with bards than druids personally.

New server launches today. Yelinak but you need a subscription. If you're busy but still want to raid & get max level then TLP is the way to go. If you want a more social & harcore experience, then P99

I loved the RP in EQ. When I was on Xegony there was a strict RP guild called Dark Moon. This guild was strictly Evil and Strictly Dark Elf only. However they did allow in Ogres and Trolls, but they were the slaves to the Dark Elves. The RP within that guild among the DEs and the Large Ogres and Trolls was phenomenal. I actually miss RPing. Would love to find a good RP guild on Oakwynd, or Really any guild to play in on any server. Any RP guilds out there Lemme know here on my reply what server you may be on and I would love to come join. Before EQ I use to RP hardcore 3 times a week in college playing pen and paper D&D.

Enjoying your work as well. Not a fan of torture punishments or your girlfriend enjoying it for that matter. Keep it simple - something like writing on your face with a marker, I died in highpass hold or something.

Yeah cuz when you find a good person in that game you put them on your friends list and you look for them every time and you group up you go to the same guild you hunt together you become friends with them you know and you become friends with other people
