Legend tried to do no defeat campaign. Going all in on this would not work for that - confederations open up vulnerable flanks that can be hit at any moment.

Yeah if you are going for a no defeat then you want to be a lot more careful and do the right deals at the right times, don't just confed everything as fast as possible. Also remeber not to drain your allies cash if you are not planning to betray or confed them! (You CA drain cash from the minor factions, then give it to an allied Legendary Lord faction to pump them up though!)

This is such a diplomatic power play even the greatest statesmen of the Empire and Elves would appreciate! I found myself doing something similar with Kairos all the way south, who has even more options via Changing of Ways. Would love if you can make a similar guide there, cos I heard many people struggling with that base faction

Overall a great guide and there were some differences in my campaign as you've said, but it still worked pretty flawlessly. One weird thing however, is that the rebellion at Igerov never spawned for me, I never swapped Igerov itself, though I did every other settlement, somehow though, the control level reset to 0, not sure when(maybe when I traded Vitevo? not sure), so that was strange.

Strange. Normally that would only happen if you traded away all the settlements in the province before you actually took igerov.

Hiya Mercy! Great guide! One thing that I do seem to be running into is Throt consistently taking Fort Ostrosk at the end of turn 2 meaning I can't sell it to the Ropsmann Clan when I confederate the Enclave, when running this exact strategy to the letter it seems to be a reset/save scum moment, and I'm looking for a reliable solution beyond sitting behind many loading screen. Any thoughts?

Are there any tricks like this for the Golden Order (Or other empire factions)? Only strat I find successful for them is to rush Vlad, but the battle is always super sketchy just because of how quickly Vlad levels beating templehof. Also great video, love this type of content

If you wanted to make friends with Vlad then Region trading would be the way to do it, but probably better to take him out before he comes for you. I usually try to move to Drakenhof and take that first on the same turn as you declare war while his main army is elsewhere to get a bit of a surprise advantage and get a foothold.

@@MercytheMad yeah its a shame you can't confederate elector counts outside of the imperial authority system, but I will try the drakenhof strategy. Also apparently there is a way to farm Imperial authority through trading settlements, do you have a video on it / know how to do it? thanks again for the video

Empire is a bit special, but you can sell regions to other Empire factions and then force them to return them to the original owner to pump fealty and imperial authority.

im curious how were you able to confederate with the 2nd kislev faction cause isnt it once you confederate with someone you get a cool down of 5 turns before you can confederate again

I don't think Kislev has had that for a while, I confederated a bunch of factions with Boris a few weeks ago and there was no penalty. Not sure how long it has been like that, I don't play Kislev much.

@MercytheMad hmm I know if you confederate with the race system that Konstaltyn and Katerin has (sorry if I misspelled their names I'm terrible with names) you get the cool down maybe we just have to test it out and see if kislev has it or not

Why dont you get the Confederation Penalty? This would make it impossible to confederate someone for 5 turns. Am i missing out something?

Currently the Confederation penalty appears to be broken and isn't actually applying the inability to confederate it seems.

Yeah the Ogres will also hate you, but I would usually kill the Ogres and Drycha immediately after Azhag. If you don't want to fight drycha immediately for some reason you can trade the southern settlements to Kostaltyn and make him deal with her for a while.

So the campaign is still so broken that you have to use cheese.

@@MercytheMad broken like too much pain in the ass. you have to take care for to many enemies. i know i know its supposed to be like that. but the campaign is unplayable. you have to beat norsca starting enemy faction. then just push the hills to eleminate azhag. the skaven clan is a hhuge pain in the ass because he rushing the whole region. kostaltyn and the other 2 minor kislev faction dies within 10 rounds. your are alone against at least 2 factions. till the chaos faction arrives then the campaign its done for all. its not fun and not possible to hold and defend the kislev region. every friend just crumbles and you getting attaccked from everyone and every corner

@@keipfar I wasn't attacking him. I watch his videos from time to time. I'm a fan. I like to operate in middle cheese ground where I cheese certain things and not others, but him and legend operate on creating perfect runs. For example, I auto resolve a lot more battles even at cost of my campaign if I find the battle boring. At least that's what I used to do, nowadays I won't even play the game probably for a long time cause it's boring for me now. I stopped right after release of the last dlc. I put 5k hours into wh2 and 3 so, it's probably better to rest a bit.
