But body language is a better indicator. Some people come off as cold or uninterested when they're really actually hella nervous or don't know what to say to you. They can lie about something too or be a little mean (for some reason some people are mean to hide their feelings. It's no excuse for treating you wrong though.) Some people are scared so they don't even look at you when you're looking at them. People are complicated, follow your intuition and watch their body.

Mirroring behaviour and distraction can be signs of ADHD or spectrum behaviour, and open/enthusiastic body language can be caused by masking or excitement about a conversation topic or relief at fitting into a social interaction. I'm a grown man and I've only just recently begun to pay attention to body language as I've been pretty much oblivious all my life. I missed some opportunities either because of that, or because I rationalized my way out of it. "I must be imagining things," or "Nah, it would never work out." The mind is really good at that it seems, haha. It's true that paying attention to body language matters and whereas people lie, the body rarely if ever does. There are a bunch of books on the topic. But, if you're a fellow over-analyzer, it's best to let it filter into your subconscious and not to obsess over it.

Yes. It’s good to pick up on signs to give clues, but they are not good to obsess over like you said! I used to be obsessed with body language to the point where I would read into things incorrectly. It’s a good guide if you want to pick up on peoples’ moods, but you can’t know exactly what is causing the person to be in such a mood and they could just have a unique baseline for expressing those moods!

I used to get so excited whenever I saw these signs in a crush. Then I learned attraction is just phase one. A person might be attracted to you, but that doesn't mean they have feelings. Feelings might grow with time, if you're both willing to spend time together. If you both want something beyond the physical. If you both share and keep an emotional connection. However, a lot of people leave at phase one... I think we all deserve so much more than those physical language signs. We deserve our significant other's presence in our lives, their concrete gestures, their love. Attraction is amazing, but it is just a piece of a greater thing.

Emotions are difficult to gauge and are always subject to change. As someone who doesn’t always recognize when someone is showing me interest, the easiest way I’ve found to break the ice with someone I feel may be interested is to simply say “I have a hard time recognizing affection appropriately, are you interested in me? Or simply just being kind?” Both are rooted in positive intent and often your honesty will be appreciated. If you’re wrong on your assessment then that’s okay too. It doesn’t devalue you as a person or mitigate your self-worth. Honesty has a higher success rate in forming strong emotional bonds than simply trying to be something you are not at your core to please others. I will find love as will you. We deserve it.

Someday you will find someone who likes the same things and you can bond over these. Look around yourself. Most girls date whoever meets their standart. They dont have to be attractive. Someones standart could be: can cook for me, is romantic and likes cats. So look for someone who you think meets your standarts and hopefully you meet theirs. @@theQueen. It's when you really want to be close to someone but not romantically. The best examples would be when you want to be really close friends with someone (Because they are cool, fun to be around, you look up to them, etc.) or if you have a long lost relative and want to regain that close bond with them. Even trying your best to be acknowledged by someone you deeply respect would count.

One person in my dating history had an unusual habit of fake yawning whenever someone he was attracted to was around, or when he was having to deal with a discussion about anything emotional (such a his crush talking about their love life or walking by with their partner, or even just seeing his crush), or any time he felt tempted to blurt out an admission of his attraction. He would also get fidgety hands, whereas he is normally not a fidgety person. If someone is constantly yawning or clearing their throat when you're around, and you aren't talking (so you know they aren't yawning because you're boring them), it might be a sign of interest.

How would you interpret someone who admitted in the past being strongly attracted to you and has been avoiding you for years because of that reason, fidgeting with a beer bottle in your presence when not talking to you -and when I say fidgeting I mean FINGERING the bottle opening with his thumb or other fingers? Because I asked somewhere and they mocked me for being delusional, but never in my life never seen a guy (not this one either) dig his whole fingers in a half full beer bottle while watching a show. Actually noticed because I found it slightly gross 😆 It needn't be he wants to finger me but sounds at least like a bit of a strong pacifying behaviour lol

@@bbysootsprite I used to think the same way you do. I thought i was unlovable and that i'd never reach happiness outside the academic field - which didn't even fulfill me that much. It took me years and lots of therapy to reunite the strength to get out of bed and do any basic chore. My perception of myself was also hideous. I would look at myself in the mirror and cry nonstop because i thought i'd never feel beautiful or liked. It took lots of strength and determination to get out of such a bad mental state. I know this sounds cheesy, but loving myself was the way. Of course, i was very privileged to get the help i needed and i have always had supportive parents by my side, so this was easier thanks to them. I'm so, so sorry you feel that way. There's a moment when i'm breaking down infront of my crush, and she looked at me while pulling my hand to a more comfortable place to hear what I was going through, even though at that time she was busy, but she was there and listened to me, also comforting me. As long as I conveyed what I felt at that time, she looked at me intently, while holding my hand with the intention of comfort, I couldn't help but be embarrassed while being with her at that time. After I feel better, we talk for a while. At that time, it suddenly rained and made the conversation even longer. I chuckle and tell her I'm grateful that she's the person I like. She was silent, I was blunt and she said she was actually shy but chose to be silent, I became embarrassed and fell silent hearing it. Our hands were still holding each other at that time. And at the end, she had to go, I asked for a hug, then she hugged me, and said this.. "Thank you for living and fighting until now my friend," "Yeah.. thank you too" "I love you" And I was shocked- it's the first time I've heard those words spoken from her.. "I-i l-love you too" And then she smiled, then saying goodbye, and go.. She means a lot to me, I'm lucky to meet her. Never felt like this before, I've known her for 3 years, and I only realized this feeling a year ago- dang.

Okay now I know some people think they can’t tell if someone is attracted to them because maybe they don’t feel good looking enough or pretty enough. But people who are oblivious AND attractive, we have it just as bad actually. I can never tell if someone is attracted to me and I have to rely on a third party intel, or a best friend in order to catch on with these things. I couldn’t believe how air-headed I can be when someone does find me attractive I just never assume it will happen or I look at it as whatever. But than a friend of mines told me “You have a very calculating way of showing ‘interest’ in someone.” Now I’m just very self aware with these things ever since I’ve been told. I always just assume someone is just being extremely nice to me and than I slowly realize before it’s too late that . . . You get the point I’m trying to make.

This video hits home to me because I have liked this girl for over 2 years now and she is rlly pretty and my best friend. She would copy and mimic my mannerisms and I myself wouldn't even notice until my friends told me. I had a feeling she liked me but I was too scared to ask her out. So instead I asked her out to prom as a friend and she said yes and she even called me her prom king lol. Idk how I didn't get the hint. Then instead of going to prom I went travelling to the US and basically left her prom less (tbf this was during covid so I just assumed prom wasn't happening). Anyways 6 months later, I'm at a different school and I'm still thinking about her and with the help of my friends I call her and do it. I asked her out. She said no. I was pretty heartbroken but I stayed friends with her and understood. 4 months later, I've still kept in contact with her I've pretty much lost my romantic interest with her and then I meet this other girl who was toxic to me. So i rant about this toxic gal to my best friend. She gives me pretty good advice and then she texts me saying... 'yk when you called me, I was going through some hard shit in my life but if it was another time I would've said something else on that phone I'm not even joking'. That gave me happiness but extreme sadness at the same time. Because I played it so safe I never got a chance with her and when I asked her why she said its a '4 am type convo'. I never realised asked her if she liked me still and here I am 4 months later, Im still friends with her, she admitted to liking me in the past but I don't have a damn clue if she likes me now but screw it. When I feel better I'm gonna have a talk with her and ask her again because I rlly do like her. Pray for me fellas 🙏

Ahaha so funny this video just came out and I've been daydreaming a bit. I started working at a new job and I've developed a small crush on a coworker. Growing up crushes were always shameful and embarrassing but I think this is the first time in my life I've just felt comfortable having a crush, even as an adult (but I think 'crush' is defined differently now, more just general attraction). I've had a long road of coping with bad social anxiety and I'm in a really good place. I think I act relatively normal, but boundaries such as relationships and crushes and signals are just so hard for me still. I thought I was fine just enjoying myself until the person I'm interested in started showing some interesting signs.... The first thing I noticed was how much they offered to help me at my new job... even if it was a bit futile because our roles did not overlap at all. The second thing as I started seeing them more in person, I noticed their voice DID change but especially when we said goodbye at the end of the day, but its hard to compare to others but its significant. They have a very high social IQ so they are a great communicator with everyone, and of course getting to know someone takes a bit. I don't know if I do any of these, but I think it might be fun to TRY and do these as well as keeping an eye out. SO interesting. Have fun everyone.

I know likely that I got this through my mother, she has some manner of mental illness, but she doesn't believe me. For me, it's as plain as day.

I had loved a man for 4 yrs. And one day i could recognize that he also have interest to me because his sight was fixed on me quite long even while other person was talking. I think that physical signs are really amazing:)

Direction of the feet (who it's pointing at) and who you make first eye contact with when laughing are also signs of connexion/interest especially in groups
