Yeah. I don't want to think I'm a fair friend just because im socially awkward, too anxious to say something, or depressed and isolating myself from everyone, not just specifically them. I think about that after it happens and really stress over it. I think it's actually made me a walking mat because I feel like i owe certain things to people, or don't deserve their friendship. I hate the fact that i know all of this, but only afterwards. While I'm in the moment, things just happen then i realize later how im treating someone or how they've treated me.

That is why you don't want to get too comfortable with anyone right away. Even if you come across people who seem to be nice, be careful not to be so quick to be comfortable with them and don't be so quick to start hanging out with them, especially if you meet them in school and/or work environments. Take your time to get to know them at least maybe a few years or more before you allow yourself to be close to them and start hanging out and keep in mind, they can turn around and show a totally different personality all of a sudden.

Yes. Same thing happened to me. Atleast I think. One day when online classes started a few of my "friends" asked me to come with them and my sister asked to come with us and they refused. They were already suspicious. We headed towards a shop nearby. Suddenly we stopped and they said we have to talk. I recated normally. They said that I should change and that I act wierdly in last couple of days and that they are ashamed to be around me. I was shocked. It happened in March of 2020 and I got over it. They talked about it for 20 minutes when it all came to and edn by me saying and I quote: "I don't want to change for people like you." and I walked away. There were 6 of us, including me. Another fight happened near the end of April 2020. One of my "friends" asked if we had slides from math class and the question was kinda like this: "Does anybody have slides for math? (don't tell if you don't have)" and I, AS A JOKE, said that I don't. Then 2 other "friends" joined them and started talking ABOUT 5th GRADE. I don't know if you would believe me but the fight lasted from 2PM to 10PM. What's the silliest thing, I wasn't even there. That's why I'm introverted, have trust issues and no real friends. Thanks. Have a great day!

The way I see it, there are two ways to live. One where your life is guided by intellect and focus. Everything has a purpose and is calculated. You are in control of your emotions, and you do what is necessary to reach your goals. The more you live this way, the clearer it becomes that other people are hard to relate to, they simply do not understand you, and they do not see the world the same way as you. This path is lonely but tends to leave you with an inner happiness and contentment. The second path is one where everything is based on externalities. You need to buy this, buy that, meet these friends, go in this vacation, do these drugs, get out there. etc..... You will make more friends, but you will see the associations are not very meaningful and both parties are at some level questioning the whole thing. This path is easier, more social, but internally more chaotic. I have walked both paths, and the older I get, I realize the first path is better. I still do believe though that maybe one day I could meet a soulmate and have true love. I still believe a man and woman can have a real connection. Well, hope this helped. Peace Out.

You guys forgot to mention: friends also love telling you who YOU are and pass off their perceptions and opinions of you as facts. They also like to test you by either doubting you, or saying something outrageous just to see how you react. Fake friends will NEVER stick up for you, only blame you. They pretty have this "you're on your own" attitude or "not my problem, so I don't care" or "you're so selfish! You only care about yourself! What about ME?" Or the classic "not responsible for you, so I don't need to _____." That, and they often like to "joke" around, but they really just have no sense of humor so they insult you as a "joke". Make you feel nervous and complain excessively over everything you do to the point of nagging but never look at their own bullshit. Bitter, or overly positive, never "just right". Complain constantly that you made them lose brain cells. Refuse to undersrand you ans give up on you when you need them the most. All of those are just a few extra signs of a fake friend.

A sign of a real friend is someone that can laugh at each other's imperfections & shenanigans, respect personal boundaries and appreciates your growth as a person. People nowadays are loosely using the label "friends" to almost anyone that appears friendly or compliments their ego on a periodic basis. I think that sometimes these type of things are just overthinking signs, you can't really determine someone's motives or intentions or why they did or din't do something solely by some-type of actions. These may be accurate for most people that are fake friends but some of these qualities liking taking intuitive in contacting each-other or something may be because they wouldn't like to disturb you or aren't confident and potentially don't know what to say. So if you have a friend and you're suddenly suspecting now, please calm down and actually think properly, if you trust in your friends and KNOW that they're really believe in them and trust them. Blessed for those who are pure in heart...

yes or the person might be having a tough time/dealing with mental illness. I don’t know what to think about this video but yes I understand it’s important that people should recognise a fake friend and get what they deserve and i know mental illness isn’t really an excuse to be a bad friend but I guess what I’m saying is just because someone is isolating themselves from others doesn’t mean they should be put in the same category as a “fake friend” because this is happening to me now and I’m not a fake friend, I love my friends with the whole of my heart and I think my best friend doesn’t like me anymore which is great but what am I expecting lmao
@-_-36213 жыл бұрын
I understand that sometime there is this feeling of distancing yourself from "friends". And I guessing you also get the feeling of how people don't understand how you "really" feel and how you at thinking right? I'm a person who has personally experienced and have been in contact of different types of friends. And to be honest I've always questioned what exactly can be considered a friend or something like if I've ever actually gotten a friend and what are the emotions we feel. I've always been blurry about how things are how I am. But now it's just the feeling of people walking away because you've pushed them away at your own will but still feeling tingly and weird inside. I wouldn't describe it as sad but ...something. Judging from what you've written I'm assuming that it's hard being a friend to someone and people aren't actually able to be empathising and linking with you directly. I really hope that someday you'll be able to find whatever that you are searching for. Please think of what's best for you and try to not always force the blame on yourself. With an emotional restraint things all become harder. (^_−)−☆

I don't think it is about them. It is about extrovert superficial people who contact you only when they need something or are bored and want to talk about themselves. Otherwise they forget you and since you are not very imporatant to them, never ask how are you doing, actually. Never initiate contact doesn't mean being two strangers who just met. Being myself somewhat introvert, I still like to call people ocasionally and see how they are doing, have a chat. I don't understand extreme social anxiety, to be honest.

@@akumabazooka9169 my social anxiety is so bad I'm scared of getting messages. Answering them is pretty hard too. Messaging first is terrifying. They'll reply and then what? I understand its hard for people to understand but its the sad truth 😢

Red flags that I ignored because I TRUST MY FRIEND SO MUCH -Whenever I laughed with my friends I can see her staring deadly at me. I don't know why -She said I wasn't fit for the main female lead for our stage play -She lied to my friends that I can't go with them/ hang out with my other friends because my mom didn't allow me to?? Like girl, I didn't say anything 🙄 - She said I wasn't important -I remember she said I look stupid with my clothes on. THE THINGS IS MY CLOTHES LOOKS NICE. It did bring my confidence down. - whenever I try to disagree with her she's mad at me. Like I told her to not swear to her mom and she's hella mad at me -She didn't keep her promise -She always talks bad about her so-called friends -this was so many I can't tell them all Man, she was so toxic I was so blind because I thought she was my friend. I even trusted her with a secret. A personal secret. I already have trust issues and she knows that! But she doesn't care and spread my secret anyways I was so embarrassed. I even cried in front of my parents at our shop when they asked me if I'm ok. I don't cry a lot. I regret the decision I make. It just...she makes me worse. She knows I've already been through a lot. I wish I didn't met her. I wish I wasn't so blind. I wish I wasn't gullible.

Don’t feel that way we all been through that. Trust when a person ends up being like that their life is going to be ruined because she was always a bully! I went to therapy because of this I basically had friends in middle school who were extremely great but they ended up being the most fake to the point where they bullied me and made me feel like crap and now I just feel like I don’t want to have friends. I have one friend and she’s kind of like that now especially since she ended up being a single mother we’re both 25 and she sounds like a teenager and I’m already maturing and being with my family better. She kept on picking on people and I kind of got tired of it. My therapist told me that friends pick on you because either they’re jealous because you’re a great person and they’re just bitter or because you have something they can’t have. Don’t feel bad for being gullible at some point we have to learn those red flags on so called “friends.”

I had true friend for almost 20 years, he simply got entangled with bad influence and it made him more twisted. Him being social butterfly was always both his strength and weakness. Still, I’m grateful of him of the time I’ve spent together, he was genuinely nice and supportive of those times. It does suck that person you used to know well changes so much.
